Staff were very nice. Facilities great. Food excellent. Room very comfortable. Great view of Salzburg. Very enjoyable stay. Would go back.
A bit out of the way, but didn't spoil the trip. The views made up for that. Lack of snow.
Wonderful hotel set up a hillside with terrific views of Salzburg. Nice friendly family run business. Everything was as described. Unless you have good strong legs the walk up the hill to the hotel is a challenge for young people let alone old! But don't let that put you off.. A taxi from the centre is between 12/15 euros and the walk DOWN the hill isn't so bad to a close bus stop which gets you to the centre in 5 mins. Nice breakfast and a very reasonable price. Give it ago.
Unfair to moan anything for what we paid, so nothing.
The coziness of the hotel was great. The view from our window every morning and night was breathtaking. The breakfast was perfect and the staff was kind.
The beds weren't the greatest and because the hotel is on a hill it wasn't really that close to any tourist attractions (taxi wasn't to expensive with that said)
The view the food the staff it is all good. 2nd stay in 3 years and it is just a very relaxing place close to town but away from the hustle.
The staff were very accommodating. Old fashioned hospitality. We came a day early and stayed an additional day with no hassles. Wonderful setting and great busy breakfast every day!
Simply the location bring up a large Hill only accessed by a narrow Street and a way from the main town. No problem if you had hired a car or taxi everywhere, but if a shuttle bus down the hill was available that would be Brilliant!
As the name says, it did have a beautiful view. (Since we visited in the shoulder season, they were not full, and gave us a room with a view.) The room was large.
Not on the beaten path, so it took us a while to find it, and it would have been wonderful if we had had more time in Salzburg. Since the restaurant is closed from Monday through Wednesday, it was a 10 minute drive to dinner.
the view was incredable, the hotel was really comfortable
at night there was no light on the road to the hotel
Great location, (fabulous views), large, comfortable room, excellent restaurant
Beautiful place in the mountains next to Salzburg. Great to stay if the idea is being a bit further from the city.
Thought eh location is quite far out if you wish to walk in Salzburg the views are fantastic and well worth it
Great view of the city, quiet room, Good break fast and very comfortable installations.
you need to have a car to reach.
The view overlooking Salzburg and spaciousness of the room. (Never had two bathrooms in one room before!) Convenience for use of buses into city.
The location was beautiful. If you don't mind the healthy hike up the hill from the bus stop, it is ideal--all the sights of Salzburg are close, but the hotel is quiet and rural-feeling.
1- Bad location even with cars 2- Pricy rates that doesn't include breakfast. No reason to pay this rate for such old hotel with tight rooms,no breakfast, no extra services.
The view was breath- taking, the breakfast very good and the decorations were in tone with the place
You can hear from the other rooms
The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The scenery was spectacular from the hotel...a very restful and beautiful spot. The food was excellent!
Price, quiet location, cleanliness, breakfast, view of the city. It is maybe a bit far from the city center and the bus stop (steep hill), however it is easily accessible with car and also with a nice parking place. A drive uphill is quite a surprise when you first take it :)
More or less nothing, maybe slightly soft beds (personal opinion), room equipment is a bit old, but nevertheless everything is in great condition and most of all clean.
We had an amazing time and the view was gorgeous. The best hotel for people who wants to hike and have a city experience all in a 30min walking distance away.
The beds were not that comfortable to sleep in.
The hotel is located on a high hill in a pastoral setting overlooking Salzburg, away from all the busyness of the city. The room was very comfortable with all modern conveniences and the innkeepers spoke excellent English and were very helpful.
Lovely traditional hotel, excellent views, nice big rooms ours had balcony, restaurant meal was good and excellent breakfast
The reception staff were off hand with me when I queried our bill.
The view from the room
My room was 23. The hotel clames to have WiFi, however, when in the room conn was disconecting every one minute and was available only in one corner of the room. The router is placed in the oposite side of the coridor. When i asked to change the room as internet is important for me, i got a refuse followed by a bunch of rude "compliments" from the person claiming to be the owner. He consider i want to save the 2 Euro paid for Internet... The restaurant quality is low and price are high, probably speculating the fact that the next place to eat is at 15-20 minutes driving and after long working day you may not want to jump in the car again.
all was perfect
There was a smell in both of the rooms we had. Wanted the windows open to keep it out. Got a cot, and it was extremely uncumfortable.
The view, the peace and quiet, sauna, the breakfast was included.
