Great location: small street few blocks from Stefansplatz. Just across a night Club with pretty girls. Good breakfast with plenty to choose from. Clean and tidy.
Rooms a bit shabby, bathroom tiny
• It was a nice quaint hotel. • Location • Excellent continental breakfast with good range. • My 10 year old son loved it.
•The room was compact. • Bathroom was very small.
The breakfast of excellent, certainly beyond all expectations - was nice to see that there were some new items every morning. A rare experience of a personal touch.
Fantastic, helpful staff, lavish breakfast and perfect location to walk everywhere in central Vienna Free working wifi
the decor was very old - but it was clean and comfortable.
breakfast was great
The location was perfect with 5 min walk from Stephansplatz and 5 min walk to another metro stop. Cozy and clean.
Excellent service and convenient location just two minutes (walking) from St Stephens Church and the U-bahn (subway). An airport bus stops just a few blocks away, near the canal, next to a holocaust memorial. The Hotel is well maintained and they serve an amazing breakfast that is included in the hotel rate.
Excellent Breakfast Great Location
Room size was small, even for European Standards Bathroom was tiny; toilet was wedged between three walls
The location is great. Near city center. Easy to get everywhere by walking or subways. The staff were very nice. It's good for the money you pay
The hotel was walking distance of many lovely sites and good restaurants. It was also quiet with everything we wanted.
That we couldn't stay any longer!
Good position in the centre. Very good breakfast. Polite staff.
Quite small bathroom
Very good breakfast and friendly staff
The location near the Schwendenplatz area, and not far from Stephansplatz and the Cathedral makes it ideal for enjoying the old center of Vienna! The Airport Bus stop is just 3 blocks away, so very handy for the 13 Euro return bus cost to/from airport. The breakfast was good every AM, and the servers efficient and friendly.
Quaint old hotel, with some upgrades needed (like some carpets). It did not include a coffee maker or kettle in the room (and did not advertise it, so no issue). Be aware the single rooms are small, as advertised, but still very functional.
Great location; comfy beds
The night staff was rather rude; although we informed the hotel we would be leaving very early, there was a lot of grumbling when he had to open the door to let us out! I wonder if it was because we woke him up - so much for reception being open 24 hours!
The breakfast buffet is excellent with a broad variety of food to satisfy many different tastes. The location was very convenient to shopping, tourist sites, and public transportation.
Location Buffet breakfast
Champagne at brakfast.
Great breakfast Excellent location Helpful service
Location is excellent, really "Inner stadt"
Breakfast very good. The best thing in this hotel.
The staff is unpleasant and not cooperative. The rooms are minimal, you have everything needed but not real comfort. I will not come back.
First, the positives - the location was terrific. You can't get better, really. Second, the value was great. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was fine - a little hot, but usable. It was clean. The beds were comfortable and clean.
The negatives - the noise in our room was terrible. We didn't hear anything at night (we didn't face the nightclubs), but we were right below the breakfast room on the seventh floor. Like clockwork, the noise started above us at around 6:30. That's when the wait staff (very nice staff) worked getting the room ready. It sounded like 'Dance, Dance, Revolution' going on above us. I tried a few different methods (two noise makers - fan). I even noticed that the hotel included ear plugs in the night stands (they must know about this problem)- I tried using these as well. Nothing worked, though, I got up at around 6:30 every morning. Some might find that problematic, and the fifth floor might be better. Also, the WiFi 'worked,' but don't plan on streaming anything at all. You can't - it won't work unless you get up at six AM, which I did, three nights in a row.
- Beds - Service (cleaning, extra information at the reception) - Breakfast - Metro and city centre only minutes away
- A bit of noise of the adjacent rooms
Location, friendly and helpful staff, quitness, breakfast choice, daily change of towels
Smell from the ventilation system sometimes in the morning, poor sound proof between the rooms (may be only in some rooms...)
If you like an old fashion European hotel that still uses big old keys that you turn in at front desk before you go out, and where the commodes can be puzzling, and the decor that takes you back a few decades, you would be home here and I was. The breakfast was very good.
The bathroom in our room was too small. If you are a big person, make sure to ask for a room with a large shower.
