The room and bathroom were both a bit "tired". That said, the hotel was about to close for a month for renovations.

Location on the lake in Hallstatt. We had a room with a balcony facing the lake. It is well worth the extra money. Getting to the hotel is no problem- just take the shuttle from the satellite parking about 400 meters straight after exiting the tunnel. Hallstatt is amazing. The hotel is soon closing for renovations, which will only make this gem shine better.

The furnitures and fitting needed proper maintenance and repairs, everythings seems to be very old, especially the carpet which gives you an unhygienic feeling.

Location is good and the hotel also has wonderful view. Staff are also nice and helpful

There is no lift, and there is a mosquito in our room...

Location in town, great. One the water, great. Fantastic restaurant!! Staff was all great, especially the blonde evening restaurant waitress - very nice and great service. Ate dinner both nights at the hotel as the first night was so good! Reception very assisting with questions and direction or guidance. We will definitely stay here when returning next summer.

Was surprised at the quality (lack of) of some of the room furniture, although it was not a big issue. The bathroom was sufficient, but the table in there was separating from being water logged. Much mildew on the ceiling of the bathroom.

We were late in booking the hotel for stay in Hallstatt. Consequence was we booked this one which was above our budget limit. The hotel is nicely located: it is in the town centre (although the town itself is pretty small), just next to the church, and you don't need to go up stairs on the hillside with heavey luggage where a lot of guesthouses are located; it is just next to the lake, so if book the room facing the lake, you would have a wonderful view. The rooms we stayed were spacious and clean. The breakfast was very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Wifi in the public area was down during our stay in the hotel. The hotel doesn't have any doorman or elevator, meaning if you have heavy luggage you have to help with yourself. One room we stayed had a very small and shabby bathroom, not really in proportion with the living room and bedroom.

Location location location. It can't be better in Hallstatt The staff was very friendly and helpful but possibly overworked. They seem to put in very long hours. We loved the hotel with the exception of having to drag suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. It was not really a problem but something to be aware of. They probably can't put in an elevator because of the age of the building. All in all a very nice stay.

Although everything worked ok and the large room was really nice there seems to be signs of wear and tear that are not being attended to. Possibly because it is the end of the season. One disconcerting thing was the room off the lobby that was filled with old furnishings and dinnerware that was for sale like an American tag sale. Not very classy and possibly a sign of financial troubles.

The view from the balcony is great and the location is very close to the ferry.

The receptionist girl, one is very nice, and the other is quite cool.

The location was great. The pier attracted many ducks and swans and that made my daughter happy, as did the hotel cat, Rocky.

The hotel was surprisingly threadbare with stairs that were frightening to climb (they may collapse at any time). The paint was peeling. The rugs were coming up. The bathroom was state of the art in 1915.

The view is perfect.

The location was perfect for our stay.

No elevator and staying on 4th floor was a bit of a climb and the internet was not working
