Location, the room was very comfortable, the bed and shower were amazing, and the balcony with the view was breathtaking. The breakfast in the lobby was very nice.
THE RESTAURANT! Overpriced, poor service and terrible food.
Enjoyed the location, the modern look, the friendly staff, the restaurant in the hotel, the quality of the finishing touches...in short...it was a very pleasant hotel! Advice - Book a room with a view towards the lake.
I loved the location and balcony view. The morning breakfast was delicious, and the staff was friendly! I had a sensational stay!
The location was great. Our room looked over the town square and we could see part of the lake. We had a covered balcony which was great because it rained and we could still be outside. The restaurant was great, order the fish, any fish! We would stay there again even with the things that we didn't like.
They had just reopened after a renovation that wasn't quite complete. We had an a joining room which we discovered when the door handle was installed but it did not lock (this was fixed but taking the handle back off). It was a very small room and the 2 chairs were very uncomfortable.
Location is very good
Some staff were not very supportive and kind
Last stayed here 20 years ago when everything was a bit twee. Perhaps in the end the floods have done them a favour! Staff were incredibly warm and helpful, down to Receptionist lending us her own umbrella for the day. Easy, flexible checking in and out. Comfy beds, wonderful views from Room 25 over the lake. All previous problems with doors, lack of curtains etc seem to have been sorted. Fantastic location in centre of town. Lots to do, Salz Weltern needs to work on it's marketing - way better than we expected. Dachstein - needed an entire day to do everything. We'll be back.
Bathrooms needed a little more thought. Not enough hooks to enable towels to dry.
The Receptionist very friendly and helpful
A bit to small the room for three people.
Kind staffs Very good location Clean both bed room and toilet But a little bit expensive I think except it all was good
Our room had an incredible view of the square, mountains and lake. The view alone made it a great place to stay ... however most of the rooms don't have much of a view so make sure you ask. Restaurant was very good too. Old building on the outside but very contemporary inside.
Brilliant location and new facilities. Hotel had been trashed by last years floods and was getting back on it's feet again. The village and hotel are well worth visiting.
A couple of things were unfinished in our room ( after renovation due to last years catastrophic flood) but to be fair this didn't affect the quality of our stay. Our room was missing curtains and a part of the shower glass.
View Beds Breakfast Friendly staff
The room was a little stark. No chairs on balcony.
Very nice place; people should realize that they are still renovating, so some things are not fininshed as of this writing. Our room did NOT have air conditioning; we're not sure if it will in the future, but for summer travelers this will likely be an issue as it can be hot there. The room also did NOT have a curtain, so by 6am, it was very bright inside!!!
Fabulous breakfast with homemade goodies and personal touch! Friendly and helpful staff!
No curtains on the windows.
no curtain, high price
Central location. Modern renovated hotel. Great food and most helpful staff. Coukd see the lake too.
Felt slightly uncomfortable not having a curtain or blind, altjough being on the 2 floor it probably didnt matter. Just light early.
The large balcony with Lake View from the 3rd floor was stunning! The location was fantastic, the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was good. Our recently renovated room was furnished wonderfully and exceeded our expectations.
There were no curtains in our room
The location was great and the rooms were luxurious
Rooms very hot no temperature adjustment and there was no safe
Location of hotel is at center of Hallstatt.
Price too high.
The location and the staff were excellent and the hotel, in the last stages of renovation, will be top notch when finished. The price reflected the transitional circumstances and should rise when finished.
If there is no A/C, and I don't think there is any in Hallstatt hotels, then a fan or access to one would be nice. Although the hotel lacked blinds we bot a $10 table spread and wich came with anchors and used that for privacy.
Very nice hotel, situated in the main area of Hallstatt. The staff was very kind and professional. The beds are perfect and large. The staff is fluent in English and very kind. The hotel is clean and private. Highly recommended
No curtains on the 2nd floor windows, needed for privacy. The breakfest is taken place in the lobby instead in the large regular restaurant. It is not the best trying to enjoy your meal while new guests are checking in in front of you.
The staff were extremely helpful, provided us with all the info we needed and even called a taxi to pick us up at the train station. Breakfast was good as well, very basic (bread, ham, boiled eggs, cereals, milk, fruits, cheese, juices etc).
The rooms do not face the lake. Technically, it does, but the view is totally blocked by the building in front. Rooms are also rather tiny, there was barelyenough place for 2 luggages. Also, during our stay I was disappointed that the toilets were not fitted with doors and it was wet everywhere because of this. However the next day a door magically appeared - it appears that they were just finishing with the renovations. I just wished they waited to finish the renovations before making it available for guests.
We loved this hotel because of the location, the friendly staff and the facilities. The renovation was not quite completed in our room but the staff were aware of this and compensated us accordingly. We loved the lake view from our room.
Good location in Hallstatt
The hotel was not completed when we arrived. No curtains, bathroom not completed etc..Staff did offer us a discount and we realise that they were recovering from a flood the previous year. However, should not be open until ready. I am sure all bullets will be excellent when completed.
This review is actually for the Heritage Hotel. Seewirt Zauner was still renovating their place and so they transferred my booking to the Heritage Hotel. The rooms were newly renovated and awesome. Breakfast was also plentiful.
One breakfast staff attendant at the Heritage Hotel swore in German when I told her there were insects that needed to be cleaned up near the breakfast table.
This place was flooded 12months ago, amazing to see howi if has been renovated? More breakfast tomorrow, Lots of, A lofer'.w
