At that time many members of Europe's high society visited Bad Gastein to arrange their thoughts and "clean blood".

Nowadays Bad Gastein is still famous for its underground thermal springs and healing radon caves, combined with many opportunities for adventure holidays and almost 200 kilometres of ski runs that make this resort so unique.

The closest cities to Bad Gastein are Salzburg (95 kilometres), Munich (250 kilometres), Klagenfurt (130 kilometres) and Innsbruck (180 kilometres).
