Set in an elevated position in the centre of the village - 3 double bedrooms all ensuite. 1 bunkbed room with separate bathroom. Large open plan living, dining, kitchen space with open fireplace. Wifi, Sonos sound system, Nespresso coffee machine, children's toys and films available, underfloor heating and traditional wood burner in entrance hall. Awesome views with a south facing terrace and garden. Carport for 1 car and a lockable ski room.
We are a loving family of 4 with a desire to see the world, be it the other side or whats on our door step. We live in Austria and Dorset, England, loving both the mountains and the sea. We have built our own house, we have renovated two others that we have spent many happy years in. Our surroundings are very important to us. We treat the way we would like to be treated - the same goes for our surroundings. The environment is equally important to us. Nature is our sanctuary. We pick up rubbish, that includes other peoples. Aside from sport and nature we are keen to submerge ourselves into culture. But we'd rather sit in a cafe and people watch rather than spend hours in museums. My husband is a chef, so we love food. All types. What can we not live without? Music, Mozart to Led Zeplin via Jack Johnson. Our dog, who is sadly no longer with us. Powder skiing. Sunsets. The 4 of us.
Hinterthal is a picturesque village full of austrian character, with a great variety of restaurants, mountain huts and bars. 3 neighbouring hotels have spas and swimming pools available for use. Horse-drawn sledges, tobogganing, cross country skiing, back country ski touring and snowshoe hikes are all brilliant winter activities available from the village. In the neighbouring village of Maria Alm as well as by the lake in Zell am See are first class golf courses. In near by Leogang is the world championship mountain bike course. We provide two car park spaces of which one is covered. However, Hinterthal is so compact that a car is not necessary. A bus stop is at the bottom of our drive. The local train station is in Saalfelden, a 15 minute car journey away. The nearest airport is Salzburg, just under 1 hours drive. Other options are Munich, Linz and Innsbruck, all approx. 2 hours car journey away. We'd be happy to organise you airport transfers, food shopping service, home cooked food, BBQ, organise ski lessons, ski hire, bike rental and much more… All linen and towels are included.
