The breakfast was excellent. Lots of fresh fruit, great variety of bread and cheese. Friendly and prompt staff.

Old world charm

It was a place with character and style. Friendly efficient service and good food apart from an excellent breakfast.

We stayed on the top floor during an unusually hot August weekend. The room had no air-conditioning which made sleeping extremely difficult which in turn made the stay expensive.

Great location, close to the Old Town across the river. Easy access to Mozart's birthplace and home as well as museums and numerous restaurants. Excellent breakfast provided. Room was quite large and good shower in bathroom.

On checking out we asked reception to book a taxi but none could pick us up as there was a marathon on and streets were closed off. Hotel staff seemed unaware of that despite the presence of athletes eating breakfast. We were directed to a taxi point but that was also closed off, which meant a long walk to the railway station. My point is that we should have been advised of the race, especially as we checked about taxis the day before. Fortunately we left enough time not to miss our plane.

Very good location, two minutes walk from the river and within easy walking of all the Old Town.

It was a Nice hotel, clean, good beds. The breakfast was lowely. It was near to the city center. The staff was helpful and the Sevice good. We had a great time

Easy to find (after helpful Salzburg bus driver helped). Friendly and helpful staff with good English to counter my bad German. Lift to all floors. Room was fine. Hotel is full of character and really easy to get to Aldstadt, Mirabell Gardens, Mozart house, in fact - pretty much all salzburg central locations. Breakfast was cold meats, chees and good scrambled eggs. Free internet. Bar had local lager on tap and bar staff looked in on us frequently whilst attending to other duties. All in all, really enjoyed it here and it was a good price. Thanks hotel Stadtkrug.

The hotel was walking distance to all attractions located on a pedestrian only street.It possessed an old world charm yet balanced by a modern up-to date bathroom. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Would plan to stay again when in Salzburg.
