Everything about this hotel was excellent. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It is ideally situated for easy walking access to the old city and all the sights and attractions. (Just go through the tunnel which is safe, and you are there)! The price is reasonable and there is a good breakfast area with very good breakfast for 10 euro. |

Good location, walking distance from Salzburg old town. Spotlessly clean, good decor throughout. Good breakfast selection. Underground car park which was secure. Great shower Generally helpful staff but on one occasion we had to ask for the room to be cleaned early as my wife was not well. The room was cleaned fairly quickly but no-one bothered to inform us so we were waiting an hour in reception before I went to check only to find it was complete. Small point but it would have made all the difference |

The hotel is ideally placed being a 5 min walk from the old town. A modern hotel very easily accesible. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definately go back again. |

The hotel was clean and breakfast was good. Good value for the hotel. The location was good and within easy walking distance of several restaurants and a major shopping area. I think the hotel should provide hand towels and washcloths in addition to the bath towels. |

The room was clean and the decor was modern and appealing. We enjoyed having the separate living room and balcony. It was nice to use the computer and internet by the front desk at no charge. |

For a reasonable rate, the hotel provided very nice accomodations and good access to my personal meeting (prime reason for this visit), the city, and the bahnhof. It was also just far enough away from heavy tourist traffic and noise to provide some quiet. It was a surprise to be charged for a local telephone call. If I had known, I would have used my handy. |

The best part of the Star Inn was it's proximity to the old city of Salzburg and the free internet access in the Reception area.It was easy to locate and it offered secure carparking on site.The breakfast buffet also provided a good variety of food and beverages. The Hotel was dirty! Going to our room I noticed how dirty the stair wells and carpet was in the public areas. When we arrived at our room we went to the bathroom which did not smell great (urine). I then wondered if the floors had been cleaned/mopped and wet some tissue which I then wiped across the floor. |

Location was good and the room was very clean and spacious. The pillows in the room could be better. They were too thin and soft! Breakfast was overpriced at 10 euro per person. However, we noticed in Salzburg that bakeries and cafes do not open until 9-9.30am and most are reserved, therefore it was always difficult to find somewhere to eat in the morning. The hotel should take this into consideration and should reduce the price of breakfast. |

the fact that is verry close to the city center ,the underground parking and the breakfast. we ve stayed in this hotel in 2007 when it was barely opened and we had an excellent time.sadly now wasn t the case..the rooms were not cleaned:(there was dust everywhere..when we entered we observed that the floors were not cleaned ..at all.and the next day we asked the cleaning lady came and we asked her to clean.she just changed the garbage basket... |

We stayed in a family room which was plenty big enough for the four of us. The room was very clean, well maintained and had a modern bathroom with powerful shower. The breakfast was also decent value for an extra €10, particuarly as the kids ate free. Location also very good, just a short 5 min walk into the old town. |

after changing from rooms in the annexe to rooms in the main building, it was ok; the hotel has been recently re-built and the rooms are nicely decorated. the breakfast buffet offers a large variety of foods and fruit juices. strategically well suited for visiting the old town. the rooms in the annexe do not correspond to the hotel description: there is no internet access, no lift, and you have through long corridors with many doors and also pass outside... not very pleasant with freezing weather! the hotel could be cleaner, especially the toilets. |

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything was just perfect. I'd like to mention their Internet: pretty fast, stable and free (!) WLAN in my room really surprised me, I didn't expect that. If I go to Salzburg again, I'll certainly stay in this hotel. |

Friendly helpful staff. No noise at night. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. I know it was a 3 star hotel but a small kettle and a cup for making some tea would have improved the rather spartan rooms. Better chairs at the desks would have been good. |

The location was perfect for walking into Salzburg. it was also extremely warm, lots of hot water and an excellent buffet breakfast. I did not like the fact that we did not have a hot water jug or cups to make ourselves tea in our rooms. Our room was termed a "family room" on booking and I would have expected this simple facility. Obviously, quite a few guests would be jet lagged and waking up at strange hours of the night and wanting a cup of tea is normal. We had to go into Salzburg to buy a small electric jug etc |

The convenient location of the hotel and mostly the cost per night :-) Both factors are a huge plus..... they could maybe provide a coffee maker in the room (their Suites) in addition to the electric water boiler .....other than that - it's a nice / relaxing place to stay at. |
