The location is unrivalled. But the hotel hasn't let that be their selling point. It is well maintained and very clean, good sized rooms with ample storage space (spa dressing gown and slippers provided) and an excellent bathroom (underfloor heating and powerful shower). We had a view of the cathedral but good double glazing meant looking out on the square was not a problem noise-wise. Loved making orange juice at breakfast time! Friendly, helpful staff. And they noted (presumably from the check-in card?) that it was my birthday and I got a lovely box of chocolates and a kind note - appreciated the gesture. Small enough to care.
Guess the only thing thing that I missed was tea making facilities in our room. And if I'm being really picky, a shower cap!
The staff were all out to make our visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They were courteous, helpful and were ready to fulfil every wish, be it gluten free breakfast, theatre tickets, use of printer. Nothing was too much for them. I will certainly stay at this hotel again.
there was absolutely nothing to critisize
Rooms are modern, clean and functional. Electric blinder keeps room dark for those who like to oversleep a little. At our arrival one member of the staff explained how everything worked in the room. Staff very nice and helpfull You have breakfast looking to the front door of the catedral.
All is good, really.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean and elegant hotel. Great bathtub and thick robes, spacious room and decent storage. Great location. We paid more for the view, which was right in front of the church. Was literally right in front of the subway station making travel easy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
A little pricey for Vienna. The buffet was very good but was the same every day so it got a little old after a few days.
Everything but especially the location & the service
We paid extra to have a room overlooking the Cathedral, was well worth it
Having to leave
Excellent location with all the major sights of Vienna within walking distance.
No kettle in room. Quality and size of towels not in keeping with a hotel of this standard.
Excellent design View from the bar/breakfast room Helpful staff
Limited view from our suite Noise from garbage trucks etc in morning Price: we paid a premium for a suite with view of the cathedral. The view was limited. You can get the view without paying extra.
Simply the best!
Excellent location, v good people, food is good, v clean. All in all excellent hotel
Location could not be better. Excellent outside noise abatement. Lovely, large, modern room with huge view of the cathedral. Very good breakfast buffet included.
Heart of old town Vienna, close to everything. Spectacular view of Cathedral, highly recommend. We stayed. 4 nights after a 17 day Rick Steves Tour .
Friendly, helpful and very professional staff. And of course location, location, location- in the heart of Vienna. Ask for a carthedral view room - it costs a bit more but it is a real value for money. 7th floor rooms have a balcon looking on the St.Stephan! Size of the room, condition of the furniture, design, comfort, separate WC and a large bathroom - all was amaging
Modest choice in the restaurant
I love every things, location, rooms, food, service and very kind hotel staff reception They was very helpful and polite
Car parking very expensive €35 per night
The staff was friendly, the view of the church you can't beet that. and being right in the middle of the shopping is always great too. I know i added my dislikes but this hotel is great and we are planning on coming back to vienna sometime in the near future, we would be more then willing to stay at your hotel again. with all the plus's there has to be negatives and they are not bad ones. just little things to fix.
The bed was not very comfy, would be nice if the blinds kept the sun out. gets pretty bright in the room in the am. Wifi was poor.
The 2 attendants at front desk were excellent man is 40 ish and slightly dark and the woman is 25-30. both were vey big help
I ordered a taxi for sat, morn at 9:15 23/08 the driver was rude and charged me 66 euros. The ride was less than 1/2 distance arring from flughaven taxi to am stephenplatz cost 36 euro.ride was sudbahnhof
- Excellent location - Car park
- Lifts were small and slow - Hotel furniture seems old - Entrance was not organized and small. - I'm from Saudi Arabia and my wife was with me and she was wearing a face cover, some of the staff (some) make me and my wife uncomfortable by their look and we felt that we are unwelcomed.
A very friendly and comfortable hotel. Excellent location to main shopping area and very close to Metro. We had a big room overlooking the church.
location. Staff, room design.
Windows require a more dimmer blackouts.
location and nice welcome, good breakfast
high price one of the staff was not very helpful when we asked for a vacuum
the location was great. near to everything. great breakfast and great view during eating breakfast
the room was facing to other windows of the hotel.
the location of the hotel was excellent - very close to a metro stop and right in the centre of Vienna. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The restaurant/bar on the top floor was closed which was a shame as the weather was good and it would have been lovely to have a drink there in the early evening.
Fantastic location, authentic environment
I am not used to sleep in single bed, which is not necessarily the hotel's deficiency...:)
The location cannot be beat. The breakfast is quite nice and the view of the center of Vienna was a pleasant surprise.
It is a bit difficult to drive to, but the hotel parks your car and returns it to you. Really can't complain about that.
The location right in front of the cathedral and literally next to the metro stop is ideal. Otherwise there is not much else I appreciated about this hotel.
The place looks like a student accommodation with yellow walls and firedoors everywhere, old smelly carpet which made the whole place smell of mould. Desperately needs to be aired out and refurbished. The staff at check in first greeted me by saying they tried to charge my card before my arrival and it didnt work, to which I replied that I had not agreed to have my card charged. They then said they needed my card for pre-authorisation and just went ahead and charged the cost of the room to it before I had even checked in which they did not do to other guests. I asked for a room with a view but the window was so high up that you had to go right up to the window to actually see the view, the layout of the room is akward and not enjoyable. The breakfast was nothing special and when I asked for orange juice was showed the orange press machine and told to do it myself even though I saw the waitress do it for other guests. So maybe it has something to do with age but my experience of the service was really not impressive. Not worth the price given the many many hotels around Vienna and the fact that I paid over 200 euros which could easily have got me a room in a nicer hotel nearby.
