The views of the lake and the mountains are beautiful, as well as the landscaping and gardens. It is a very quiet and peaceful place to be. The inside dining room is lovely with a view of the lake and mountains and eating out on the terrace is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. At one end of the lake is Bratislava and the other end is Velden. Both very pretty towns with lots of restaurants and shops and beautiful buildings. Overall, it was a wonderful place to get away from it all, we loved our time there.

For Americans it could be a little confusing. It is what we would consider a bed and breakfast not a hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at set times. Seating is at a specific table throughout your stay, which was not explained upon our arrival and they do make you move to the table you were first given. One gets the feeling that certain sitting areas inside and out are for the repeat clientele but, I am basing that comment on a feeling not a fact. There is a set menu for dinner with no choices to choice from unless it is the outside buffet. The quietness is a little intimidating because you feel as if you must almost whisper while in the public areas. We were told they get very few Americans there which explains why not all the staff speak English. The wifi is not very reliable and must be continually logged into, even the hi-speed wifi, which cost seven euros, was very unreliable.
