Hotel Tannenhof

Beautiful, quiet, safe, and relaxing location quite near to a variety of atrractions (Zugspitze, Neuschwanstein castle, Oberammergau). Very reasonably priced. Owners are lovely people. Always there to help. Very kicked-back. We arrived late and they reopened their kitchen and prepared a dinner for us while we were unpacking our car. One of our rooms had a wonderful slider rocking chair with foot rest. The chair faced the window with a great view of the mountains. Breakfast was ample and tasty. Free internet access in the sitting room. Several cable channels, including cnn in each room. Fresh local apples in a big basket in the lobby for guests. We have no children, but this would be a great place to stay for a family.

Decor is rather dated (1970s) and there is no elevator. Not sure if there are rooms on the ground floor, but those who can't navigate stairs too well should ask. There are 2 cats on the property. One of them roamed around freely in the halls. We love cats and enjoyed them, but those who don't like cats might not like seeing one stroll through the dining room.

consider this as a useful tip and not a negative point - to get to the hotel using public transport is a little difficult

Posto molto tranquillo, vicino ai castelli (meno di 20 minuti). La signora che ci ha accolto parla bene l'inglese e un pò di italiano ed è molo gentile.Colazione ottima e abbondante. Fare un giro in bici per le vicine stradine di montagna sarebbe un'ottima esperienza. Everything was great.

Albergo accogliente,personale gentile (parlano italiano),pulizia,cucina buona,tranquillo e comodo per visite nei dintorni molto caratteristici.

Prachtig gelegen hotel. Geboekt voor overnachting onderweg naar Italie, maar we waren graag nog een dagje gebleven. Zeer vriendelijke personeel, ruime en nette kamer, en een uitstekend restaurant met schappelijke prijzen. Ook leuk was de speelruimte met tafeltennistafel en tafelvoetbalspel. In de hal is een PC met gratis internet ter beschikking.
