The Ring - Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel  

The Ring Hotel is in a very good location with access to the Opera house, the shopping district, the Gray Line Tour busses and the Kursolon only a three minute walk away. It has very comfortable beds, And the highlight in the hotel for me was the food and wine in the restaurant (go for the menu with wine). The restaurant decor is a little bleak but the food is magnificent. Wifi is free and adequate, The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is very good.. Staff are friendly.. In my opinion it is a perfectly good business hotel but uninspiring. I would cautiously recommend the hotel as it was nice but for a five star it just didn't leave me with any lasting loyalty.

Now the annoying bits: I ordered champagne to the room for a special occasion via the hotels own website (confirmed submitted) and they said they never got it.. So no champagne on arrival, I had to ask for the shower to be fixed twice. I reserved an x Room and found that it was in the attic, hence no view of the magnificent city... From the skylight, The skylight motors are so loud you can hear your neighbour rise at 06.00.

No parking for the hotel, they let you park at a sister hotel's parking lot. Make sure you obtain the admission card from the the ring or let them park it for you, otherwise you will pay extra at the sister's hotel.

Large, well-appointed room in a good location on the Inner Ring, easily accessible for trams and subway and a short walk from the city centre sights.

Initially disappointed that the room didn't meet my expectation, but my stay was very pleasant nonetheless.

Everything with the exeption of young and untrained staff that was mixing the dates of my sigtseeng tours reservations, advised improper restaurant. It was polite, smiling and ... unprofessional.

Non-professional and inexperienced young staff at the reception spoils the impression. The rest is fine.

Location is very good...

The pillows and quilts were so soft meaning the bed was so comfortable. The chocolates provided by the turn down service were delicious and unusual flavours. The quality of the toiletries was also excellent.

The fact that breakfast was not included made the hotel very very expensive.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to Karlsplatz U-Bahn station and with Karntner Strasse and the Innere Stadt within easy walking distance. We stayed in a very large room which was modern and clean with all necessary amenities. The hotel staff were very good and responded very quickly to any request.

As you would expect staying in a 5 star hotel, the bar and restaurant were quite expensive but that doesn't detract from the overall quality and value for money of the whole visit - we would certainly stay here again.

We travelled with my 5 y.o. son and we liked it! The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. Enough place for clothes. The concierge made a reservation in a nice restaurant for us.

Breakfast! Only a la carte, the price is not reasonnable. For a luxury hotel buffet should be included in the room rate.

Exellent staff, put them selves out to please.

It was so hot inside, I had to keep going outside for a dose of -10 degree air. Couldn't turn heating down in room.

Our room was very large and very comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was contemporary and casual.

The location was fantastic. And the quality of the rooms was good.

The price of breakfast and minibar was too expensive. I barely used these facilities due to this.
