I was so glad to be in this hotel
excellent service, good location, comfortable room, a bit warm, but you can open the window for fresh air.
food reflects the fact that Marriott now owns Ritz Carlton--just average and hotel-like--that was the only downside to this stay.
- The staff were very polite and knowledgable they always attended to our needs. - The concierges were excellent making my booking as requested. - My wife and I were celebrating both of our birthdays during our stay there and we both received a treat each were different than the other.
Staffed to please with ultra professionals at every level the service has class written all over ,we were treated like we owned the hotel we were at the 7th. Floor where the club is and Mario and the girls there can not be more courteous and the food there all day long is superb coffe is a Jewell .The Steak house and the Bar are world class the Bar can compete with The King Cole at The St.Regis or Maxfields at The Palace in San Francisco if You know what I mean .The Opera is a couple of blocks away and the sightseeing Bus also .The City is overwhelming with beauty and magnificence we found the hotel that goes with it .why downgrade ?????
I must say that the Handicapped room is by far the very best equipped room from all the hotels i have ever stayed in. The Hotel as a whole was amazing, the location in Vienna is perfect, staff extremely pleasant and professional. And last but not least Great food.
I complained to about 5 different staff that the air-conditioning in my room was not working but they all kept giving excuses. Also, there is no communication among the staff and one does not know what the other promises me. One said they'll fix the air-con while the other says he'll change my room. Nothing happens and I had 2 very hot and uncomfortable nights there. When the engineer came to fix the air-conditioning, his recommendation was for me to leave my room windows open to let the cold air in. Is this why we pay this amount to stay at the Ritz, to leave the windows open for comfort?
was the week of my birthday, they immediately noticed and upgraded me to a suite. Not only that, also sent me a slice of cake. Swimming pool is wonderful for swimming laps. Breakfast was also great.
a bit complicated to get to your room as hotel made up of two buildings.
I stayed at the Vienna ritz with my wife and 7 children. I had to hire 3 rooms. I hoped that one of the rooms be upgraded to a junior suite but that hope was not met. However, everything was excellent especially the attitude of employees.
The price is somehow exaggerated. I wished they upgraded one of my rooms. It was clear that they could do so but my wish was declined. The internet in rooms is chargeable which is unacceptable for someone paying 1200 euros a night!!!
The breakfast lounge is in the lobby
- breakfast buffet - polite and attentive staff - location - great amenities
- pool was under maintenance, we were given access to the pool at the nearby Marriot. -bathroom had a weird sewage smell, didn't complain about this as I was too tired to change rooms.
Although we got a delay when checking in we ended up in good rooms though it took them a while
We didn't get the rooms that were requested which delayed out process of checking in and by this time most hotels offer free accessible wifi from all over the hotel which is not at available at the ritz
The room was not sized 38 as stated in booking and the pictures seemed totally deferent
Excellent (as expected) with a special mention for the concierge service.
Maybe a little bit expensive. At checkout, the bill must be examined carefully. Since the room numbers are given for drinks and meals, errors can happen easily. For example, I missed a beer I never ordered on my bill...
As always wa excellent
If on a scale of 10 i would rate it an 8.9
The check out was a mess.. A lot of procedures and not a polite manner it took me an hour to check out.
The appearance of the exterior of the building, the friendly staff, the location was just close enough to some of the main attractions....
The overly expensive cost of breakfast....When we looked at the menu we decided to walk 3 minutes to a local bistro/cafe. For 19€ we were able to feed 2 people with a fruit plate, croissant, bun, ham, egg, cheese and 2 pots of coffee, much less than the 32€/ per person offered at the hotel... We thought that the exterior did not match the style of the interior....too much art nouveau, the shower door opened unto the entrance to the bathroom and one could not place a bath mat at the shower entrance, it would move out of the way when one excited the shower....the windows did not open to enable us to get fresh air....some of the power outlets did not work we needed to call for maintenance...for price of room verrrrrry average view...
1. the best concierge desk ever! thanks for your help, for organaizing all the tickets and reservations for us. everything was wonderful. the restaurents gave us the best tables. and the servise there was perfect because they knew that we are the guest of Ritz :) 2. good and comfortable rooms. perfect housekeeping servise. 3. some girls from reception and bell boys speaks russian. thats very nice for Russian tourists.
1. you have to buy wifi to use it in the room. tnats a bit unusual for 5 star hotel. 2. the sky bar on the top floor is avaliable only for people who pays full pacage (during all the period). we are the guest of 5 star hotel already. why cant we visit this area for 1 or 2 evenings... strange strategy, I am sorry to tell that. 3. reception desk couldnt help us with checking because they dont have access to some of web-sites. hmmm we lost couple of hours because of that. I had to do it myself finally.
Excellent in all senses. Fantastic concierge found me tickets for all I wanted to ardent with short notice.
Design of the hotel
The location of the room , fare away from the elevator also the cleaning level is not good .
Location and staff profcinality.
good roooms with excellent location
no one is answering the phone for services within the hotel
The Building, and location
The Conceirge was too bad!!
All the staff both on the roof top bar were excellent. As well as the staff at check in and the steak restaurant. The beds were heavenly and the location was superb.
The concierges were not that friendly or helpful. The room cleaning staff were Ok however, we thought that the cost for breakfast was a bit outrageous.
Spacious hotel, modern and high spec outfittings, perfect location
A bit expensive and there is little left of the gracious old hotel I expected.
Good meat restaurant
not good air conditioner
