Beautiful, cultured ambience, superb location overlooking a lovely park and with views from the rooms over Baden and the Helenental; spacious comfortable attractively furnished bedrooms with wine/mineral water and light snacks available; helpful, friendly staff; historic building, associated with Beethoven; lovely galleried ballroom with grand piano; attractive restaurant with terrace; ample, attractive relaxation space

it would have been good to have dinner in the evening; service stops quite early

This is an antique mansion, the rooms are amazingly big and the space is quite spectacular. Agnes the reception girl was very helpful and kind.

The lack of personal for such a big space gives the hotel a little air of decay and solitude.

Very good location in the Gutenbrunn park, close to Rosarium and direct access to Rometerme from the hotel. Ancient furniture as decor and vintage pattern, stained glass ceiling. Breakfast is actually good but not very varied.

no restaurant or cafe for dinner or drinks

Great tea time with wide range of teas, cakes and pastries. Direct excess to Romethermme Thermal Spa. Excellent staff recommendations.

Room was too big so heating was a problem. WIFI signals were weak.

Very kindly and competent girl at the reception. The corridor that leads to the Roman Thermes is great and the free use of bath towels. Parking.

    The breakfast is poor.

Convinient location near Romentherms. Large and clean rooms. In our rooms there were books in different languages. Old style furniture and great aristocratic surrounding.

Breakfast is not as good as the whole hotel. No large beds only two separate put together. Towels and bathrobes were old and did not dried well.

Wonderful friendly staff!! I was hungry in the evening - and even though there is no restaurant, a lovely reception lady offered to make me a sandwich.(- : Breakfast was fabulous! Wonderful large buffet, lovely elegant room (restored palatial architecture from turn of the century) and atmosphere. All coffees made to order, teas, freshly squeezed orange juice at the buffet table directly. Very convenient to walk through the passageway directly to the spa/Thermal Baths.((-:

The room itself was ok - but not the lovely atmosphere of the public areas of the hotel. Mattress too soft, needs to be replaced. Was happy to have double room for single use - one side a bit better than the other. Expected a better bed for the price. Also, in spite of the nonsmoking rooms, coming out into the hallway smelled like smoke always.

The location was great, within walking distance of all the sites and activities. The staff was friendly and competent. The building itself has a fin de siecle atmosphere....I loved it!

Although there was beautiful music playing in the public areas, there was no radio or music in the room.

Unsual place, felt like being in a smalll castle, and the feeling, that Beethoven twice stayed here made me choose the place. Am here for the third time from Australia

Little noisy from the laneway, passing school kids and lots of voices. But I got used to it and even stayed 3 days longer!

Hotel has no security system - the receptionist can not see who enters the building. Money was stolen from our room, but the receptionist only claimed that this has not happened before - no apologies from the hotel.

We loved the character of this hotel. Throughout our two night stay the staff were all excellent! The owner took the time each day to have a conversation with us as well as giving us tips on what to do in Baden. Lazlo at Reception was also wonderful, he took the time to print us maps and give us detailed information on what we were planning to do each day. We really enjoyed the personal touch. They were also happy to give us a very late checkout for a reasonable cost. The breakfast was great, plentiful and varied. They even had a variety of tea leaves so you could make a pot of tea. We loved that you could walk from the hotel via a walkway to the Romertherme spa complex, this was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. We would also highly recommend the Acropolis Greek restaurant in Helenen Strasse. We would highly recommend this hotel!
