All the staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, slightly away from the noise of the old town but close enough to walk to the restaurants. It is also just a 10 minute walk to the train station. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom.
Lovely place, very nice breakfast and a very helpful staff.
Nothing to be fair....
Beds were comfy, excellent mountain view from my room (room 406), cleanliness of the hotel. What impressed me most was the hospitality of the staff, extremely helpful when you need travel suggestions.
Location is great..10mins walk to the old town and fortress. Many restaurants nearby.
a bit noisy at night
Fantastic location: not very far from the Hauptbahnhof and from the old city, a quiet street with breathtaking view of the mountain and the city itself, very helpful staff trying to make you feel at home since the very first minute! We hope to come one more time and stay at the same hotel!
The staff (Rene, in particular) are very helpful. Good value for Salzburg.
In retrospect we would have preferred being closer to old town. Age is showing a bit.
Staff was great Room was comfortable Location was perfect
No hotel bar Very few outlets in room
Not that much, really. Just did not match the good feeling of being in Salzburg, despite the name of the hotel. Rene was helpful.
Could not decide if staying in or out of altstadt was better and decided to stay out here but that turns out to be a mistake, as takes some time to walk to. Room had no furniture other than beds, so nowhere to sit down. Breakfast was uninspiring. No invoice provided at end.
Friendly & helpful staffs. Nice view from bedroom. Spacious room with reasonable price.
The Motzart is well a well run, friendly and clean hotel well located near Mirabel Platz. The bathrooms have frequently changed white towels and were obviously recently renovated. We had a very spacious room perhaps because a we were staying several days.
We did not have any tea or coffee making facilities in our room, nor were there any readily available in the public areas. I gathered this is not all that unusual in European hotels. Also the internet was sometimes difficult to access however I understanding the owners are working on this issue.
Rene provided a brilliant welcome and was extremely informative and helpful with everything we needed or enquires about during our stay. Very quiet room and good temperature control.
Two singles beds pushed together as a double and nothing holding them together. Bath was a little narrow so slipped a few times.
Wifi was bad, only available in the lobby and even in the lobby at midnite the night we stayed wifi was not available when I needed to research some info.
We had a huge corner room on the fifth floor with a great view of the city. Rene at the reception was charming, funny, and helpful and made our experience much more enjoyable. It was our second stay at this hotel and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed walking to Mirabell Gardens by way of the outdoor market in the morning. It's a great alternative to staying in the crowded and expensive castle side of town across the river.
Internet is only available in the parlor. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room.
the furniture, the location, the silence
Well located and good value for money hotel - our stay of three nights made all the more enjoyable by happy friendly staff and management - highly recommended.
The service from staff and location of the HOTEL.
No Coffee or Tea making facility in the rooms.
Comfortable bed nice room with a view and very friendly helpful staff
Very well located in a quite area just outside the busy old town but an easy walk across the river to the sights of the old town. Our room was surprisingly roomy and the staff particularly helpful
No wifi access in rooms ie you had to sit in the public areas for wifi access which limited your ability to use Skype
Front staff staff, esp. Emily, was very, very helpful. Location near Mirabell Gardens is great as well as nearby eating places, esp for breakfast.
The family was lovely to us and made us welcome. The balcony on our room was quaint. A lovely experience.
This hotel does have a refrigerator in the room. One night I decided to use the hotel sitting room to read for a while and eat and drink a lovely snack I had prepared of cheese I had from the morning breakfast. and a very small complimentary bottle of wine I had received from a hotel in Vienna. As I sat down the desk clerk kind of hurried right over and looked at everything on my tray. In so many words, he began saying that I should not have brought in the wine. I found his approach very intrusive. I thought that he had hurried over to offer some help like a knife for the cheese. I was taken back and explained that it was a complimentary bottle from a hotel in Vieena that I hadn't had a chance to use.He still went on about it. By this time I was starting to stand up to leave. He stated that he could make an exception, but by that time the joy of such an evening was gone. I headed up to my room. It is a good location but I would not return.
Couldn't ask for a better location, within walking distance of all attractions.good clean and family friendly.
The WiFi! I have heard negative reviews about this aspect before but they still trotted out the same excuse that the router was down. As independent Travellers this is a must as we use the evenings to look for local info and plan the next day.
