Ideally situated in the heart of the city of Krems, at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, the family-run Hotel Unter den Linden is just a few minutes’ walk away from many of the local attractions. During your stay you can easily visit the Steiner Gate, which is the landmark of the city of Krems and the starting point of the wonderful pedestrian zone through the historic old town, the Art Mile, the Danube University Krems, the Danube Promenade, and the Boat Station, which is the perfect starting point for beautiful trips around the Wachau Region. Providing an individual flair to each of the 39 guest rooms, the hotel often receives requests regarding a particular room. Difficult to fault - staff helpful, room clean and warm (cold weather during stay), comfortable and roomy, good breakfast buffet, close to shops, the Kunstmeile (Karikatur Museum definitely worth a visit, but helps if you understand some German), and the ferry terminal. Not too far to walk from the station. Selection of restaurants of varying prices nearby. Didn't take a computer, but internet terminal provided in entrance, although adequate, was limited. Information provided on local facilities. Usual Austrian problem of lack of kettle/drinks facility in rooms

Very pleasant hotel, well located close to Old Town. 15 mins walk to ferry terminal. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Couples should be aware that in one double bedroom the bathroom is designed as a small 'Hansel & Gretel' style 'house' within the bedroom itself. It has three windows which makes it either interesting or intrusive, depending on your viewpoint. Honeymooners would love it. Unfortunately we requested that we have a bedroom without the bathroom opening into it. Instead the very nice staff mistakenly thought we wanted it and provided it for us! Funny! Note:Toilet is located in another room.

Hiotel very central to city and river cruise terminal. No lift to some areas of the second floor so if you are carrying a lot of lugage you might want to bear that in mind as no one seems to offer to do that for you.

Spacious room, very quiet with windows closed. Excellent breakfast. WiFi didn't work in 2/f bedroom. Limited parking. Squeaky floors.

Good familyhotel, located nearby Krems which is a historical city. Good, clean room, nothing special. Friendly and helpfull staff. Normal breakfast buffet. Possibility of hiring a bike to do a trip along the Donau (you can return via boat). The room cannot be completely darkened with the available curtains. No airco.

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff - always available to answer your questions. The breakfast was rich and tasty, they have a good selection of dishes to choose from ( including various sorts of tea and coffee).

The hotel was well located within walking distance of the old town and other sights. Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff friendly. Outside courtyard to sit in. No flat screen T.V in room or tea/coffee making facilities. Reception closes at 8pm so unable to order anything in evening. No fridge in room to keep anything.

The owner/proprieter was extremely welcoming and helped us navigate around the area. Free Internet also a plus. Hotel Room was basic but immaculate and in a great location. Room was bigger than the average European room with all necessary amenities. I would definitely stay there again! Fridge in room would have been a plus. And a newer tv. Hadn't seen a big box tv in years.

Die Mitarbeiter waren wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, die Lage ist sehr gut, die Fußgängerzone liegt nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt, Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr vielfältig und groß Die Zeit fürs Frühstück ist etwas kurz gewählt (7- 10 Uhr), denn wer steht am Wochenende um 7 Uhr morgens auf? Außerdem wird das Buffet auch leider nicht nachgefüllt, wenn etwas leer ist, bleibt es auch leer... Die Stadtzimmer sind etwas klein geraten, besonders in den Badezimmern kann man sich wirklich nur alleine aufhalten. Wenn "Unter den Linden", dann ein Landzimmer buchen, ich habe zwar keines von innen gesehen, aber auf Fotos wirken sie jedenfalls um einiges größer

Zimmer war zweckmäßig und dennoch gemütlich, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich und übertrieben. Außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten von Rezeption und Restaurant waren keine Getränke verfügbar.
