MIND THE CLEANING FEE! I've read the small print before I booked, but in case you miss it you will be surprised unpleasantly. I renegotiated it to be only 15Euro as we stayed for a single night, but it can be a deal breaker, so mind it...
I was told the property was suitable for group of two families, total of 5. It was NOT. What was going to be apartment of two rooms turned up to be a single room with two big beds, a kitchen corner and a bathroom.
The girl that met us didn't speak English, she is Serbian in case you wonder, we could communicate with her, but she couldn't do a lot to help us. What we needed most was to turn the heating on - we managed it ;), but people that do not know much about central heating gas boiler would sleep in the cold as nobody showed up to turn it on. The main door is thin... and I mean THIN - half of it is glass, though it was not so bad for us, it was bad for the other residents - my little girl can cry loooud when she is having fun - I could hear her laughing while I smoked a cigarette in the yard half a building away :).
One final touch - the building is being renovated, so I do not know if the workers are there during the day making noise, have this in mind. On the other hand, maybe in few months the building will be better, with proper dors etc.As a whole not a bad place to stay at, but for one night and for only one family, no more. The fact that there were only two towels says it all :).
I give POOR for the stuff, but the girl really wanted to help us, she just could do nothing. For future visitors - you can turn the heating on by turning the switch in the panel of the boiler ;), hope you've ever seen one...
As a whole, the place was clean and tidy. The host is near you, if you can communicate with her you can get towels, cleaning, etc. The transport is not far away, we got to Praterstern in less than half an hour by tram. For a one night stay it was OK, and it would be even better than average if we were only me, my wife and my child (read negatives). The neighborhood is not bad, though I saw some signs it may be getting worse - closed businesses, nothing open after 6PM, some broken windows, but it was very clean, no strange guys lurking around, nothing dangerous or frightening. There are open food stores - go in the direction of Belvedere while you reach the main street, than turn right (in direction of Vienna center) - some chinese and kebap restaurants, some pizza makers, all working upto 3AM. Also cheap BILLA shop working till 7:30PM.
The host was very flexible, answered the phone and gave clear instructions how to find the property (when you get to the address, ring on ap.19, there lives the girls which will give you the key). The apartment was ready and cleaned up on time.
