The hotel Villa Auguste is only for actually staying there. To check in, eat breakfast, and check out, you have to go to Seehotel Astoria, several hundred metres away.
The hotel room was quite expensive compared to its facilities.
The hotel room does not provide a single free electricity socket for guest use. To be able to recharge my camera's and phone's batteries, I had to unplug the TV, the digibox, and the night lamp.
The mini-bar contents were very minimal. Four bottles: beer, sparkling wine, mineral water and fruit juice. But then, I never use hotel mini-bars anyway.
Someone had the bright idea to park their car just in front of the front door of Villa Auguste, for the entire time I stayed there. But then, this shouldn't be the hotel's fault.
The hotel is very close to both the centre of Pörtschach and the beach.
The rooms are very spacious and clean, and even include a private terrace.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. It included far more choices than I've even been accustomed to.
There is a mini-bar at the hotel room.
