Villa Trapp

Spacious, clean rooms with accomodating and very friendly staff. Recently renovated but with classic feel.

Hotel is not close to Salzburg and guests will need either car rental or cab/bus to travel about.

The romance of " The Sound Of Music " ..my wifes favourite movie...feeling a part of history, and a beautiful story.

..It was a bit pricey ..we are sorry we could only stay one night , but it was worth it to be there at least one time in our life..

Villa Trapp is an elegant home. No hotel feel. Large living room for sitting, reading, computer,etc. 5 min. To bus, s-bahn to city and even to countryside. It is possible to arrive by train and transfer to s-bahn to the villa. I learned it after the fact. Salzburg-Aigen is the stop for s-bahn. I was able to have tea during the day. Breakfast was in the original Trapp dr, everyone eating at the same table; friendly atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms are well done. Managers/owners are lovely husband-wife team. Very quiet as it is surrounded by its own park and privacy wall so no city noise though only 10 min. By bus/s-bahn from Salzburg center.

No phones in the rooms. For Europeans who have their mobile phones, it is alright I guess. But those w/o mobile phones, were not able to receive or make phone calls when staff were absent, which they were often. I did not know this before arrival. A few times when I returned after dinner, no one was in the villa, no lights were on. It was a little scary as I did not know where all the light switches were.

Reception, excellent historical review relating to the facts vs fiction of Sound of Music movie. Comfortable, friendly, a real adventure.

No not at all

I like the fact that its a former home of the Trapp family.

I have nothing to dislike of the hotel but if I may say, I think there are still room to improve - for instance, like making the hotel a bit more authentic - there are still something missing - I couldnt really feel the Trapp's atmosphere nor I feel that the villa is once their home a long time ago........

beautiful house, as sound of music fan made the cost worthwhile, greeted as long lost friends by owners very intimate and silent location very restful

Very attentive staff and very informative on the original Von Trapp Family. It was interesting to hear the history of the family home, filming area's and current info on the original family.

It would have been nice to have had a lounge area downstairs to sit and relax with a view of the garden, albeit a small area is available in the dining room. Would also be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. Would have also liked an en-suite with a bath - if available - not obvious from website booking area.

立地について、市街の中心から離れているので訪れる前は少し不安でしたが、バスの便がよく、すぐに慣れて気- になりませんでした。むしろ郊外の雰囲気を味わうことができてよかったです。最寄りのバス停/駅からホテル- までの道は人通り少なく心もとなかったですが、治安はよいとのことで安心して行き来しました。ホテルのマネ- ージャー（スタッフ）夫妻は親切でとても感じがよかったです。シーズンオフに行ったので、多忙でなかったか- らだと思いますが、朝食時には共にテーブルについて話をして下さったり、とても良い方々で、フレンドリーな- 対応に感激しました。

部屋に電話がないので、携帯電話を持っていないと何かあった時に不安だと思いました。また、時間によっては- ホテルのスタッフがいない時があるので、困ったときにすぐ対応してもらえないことがあると思います。そうい- うタイプのホテルであるということをあらかじめ知っておき、準備をしておけば何も問題ないと思います。

atmosfera

La historia que rodea al hotel, impresionante, y el esfuerzo de los gestores por conseguir que se mantenga fiel a la historia original. Vistas maravillosas y entorno tranquilo.

La falta de servicio a determinadas horas. Sensación de incomunicación. Falta de servicios complementarios aunque se entiende por la filosofía que se intenta aplicar. Precisamente esa circunstancia lo convierte en un hotel caro porque se pagan servicios que no hay, sólo por el hecho diferencial de ser histórico.
