Such an amazing experience! We stayed in Maria's Suite and there was so much room that we didn't know what to do with ourselves! I highly recommend staying here!
The cost of breakfast was a little pricey so be warned, but there was an excellent selection to choose from.
It's a cute villa, and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. If you need help for a recommendation to dine, you can count on them. As said extremely friendly and you feel right at home.
Sadly the Wifi was only available in the main "lobby room" of the villa. The beds were comfortable but sadly didnt get the bed we asked for. And got confused about the extra "meal plan" option which we picked while booking the room. This does not mean that breakfast is included but the 12€ still needs to be paid per person.
The house dips you into early 20 century. Staff is amazing, gave us a good tips for interesting sites. Good breakfast
The bath wasnt clean, the lavatory seat had a crack.
It was a lovely home in a nice location. Fun and very enjoyable. Not only a nice bed and breakfast home but also the nostalgic value of the Von Trappe home was a thrill.
Breakfast could be a bit more interesting.
Friendly Helpful Staff, Clean, & Cozy! Loved the history of the home. Great meeting people in the lobby when everyone is using WiFi. More of a Bed & Breakfast feel than a hotel.
Big space of the apartment. Nice breakfast area. Beautiful park location.
I felt like royal person.
We love the history of place itself and thanks to very nice staffs. Room was spacious and cozy and the breakfast table was my husband's favourite. Transportation was comfortable with both Bus no.7 and S-bahn. We'd like to visit again.
The snowy walk up the street to Schloss Aigen (fantastic restaurant NOT affiliated with Villa Trapp)
Extraordinarily poor service (no water bottles, tea, coffee, etc) - basically just an empty house most of the time. Rude staff - we showed up to breakfast about 10 minutes before scheduled ending time, no one was around, so we waited. Were greeted right at ending time by a rude woman who told us time was up. Literally took the coffee out of my hand and would not let us have any of the food lying around on the buffet tables. Room - pathetic on multiple levels. Dusty, uncomfortable bed, train shower (literally - it is not an actual shower, just a plastic shower you might find on a train), and, again, nothing in the way of amenities - no fruit or water or tea or anything. For any price, this is most definitely a never-go. Take heed.
Building has great history. Von Trapp family private belongings nicely displayed.
Building was not maintained at standard of today. No internet in room, only in lobby
Mostly everything. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent. The only problem for me was the lack of wifi in the bedroom.
The internet/ wifi only works when you are downstairs in the lounge. There is no reception of wifi in the bedrooms.
Since it is a place which has a meaningful story inside, it was quite amazing to stay there. Room was big and cozy enough and beautiful everywhere inside the house.
It could be little bit hard to find if you go there at night. Breakfast was too expensive
The ambience. Breakfast good.
The Villa Trapp was lovely and we enjoyed our stay there. The historical context and information provided about the villa and the Trapp family were an added extra. Also, the staff member who welcomed us was very friendly and welcoming.
The Villa is a little outside of Salzburg but relatively easy to find via public transport.
The room was very big and clean. The sense of history was great! The price was fair for the beautiful house and the history.
The staff do not attend the building after hours. We had a faulty smoke detector go off during the evening and it took a lot of effort to get someone to attend and stop it deafening us. Also the Wi-Fi is rubbish - it only works in the downstairs public living room.
Quality of accomodation and the history associated with Von Tapp building
Felt like being a part of history. hosts were exceptional!!
The comfortness, the politeness, the atmosphere
The villa with its big yard covered by snow was spectacular. The common living room with was also very beautiful. The owners were very nice people.
The room was very small with a poor decoration, not even a head lamp by the beds. Bathroom was just opposite of the room and it was shared with someone else although it was stated as "private bathroom outside the room". Wifi worked only in the common living room.
O quarto reservado não corresponde a realidade, não existe serviço. Café da manhã ordinário. Zero amenities. Put some Trapp Family photos in your wall, call it Trapp Hotel and trap stupid tourists inside.
The history, the rooms overlooking Salzburg (especially if it snows), the breakfast, the owners--very friendly, gave us a yodel when we left. Very warm and cosy
No wifi in the rosemarie room--no wifi. Had to work unfortunately so spent three hours in the cold living room. Otherwise all ok. There was some hair on my pillow, suggest cleaning staff wear better hairnets
-Stayed in Maria's suite and it was VERY spacious. A family of 6 or 8 could stay in this area with the right bedding provided. -Wifi was string enough for me to download the Sound of Music video -Staff arranged a Christmas service on the property which was nice
-They failed for 2 months to reply to a simple email or phone calls to confirm the accommodations. As we were organizing a majority of our international trip around this stay, it was VERY disruptive to us. -I was disappointed that they focused on the REAL Von Trapp to the complete exclusion of the Hollywood version. Moral of the story-if your child is a SOM fan, be careful you don't ruin the magic -Property feels like a museum not a hotel or home which comes out in odd ways like the furnishings fabric's colors being faded -The add-on cost for the breakfast was NOT clear when we were invited to breakfast and is certainly not a value -Property is not well maintained -little attention to the landscape -The staff took the bed out of he room I saw at check-in so when we went to bed I ended up sleeping on the couch so my daughter could have a bed
Relaxed setting. Welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Wifi was not strong throughout the house. Water temperature varied.
The house and grounds are amazing! This was my second trip to the Villa Trapp and it will NOT be my last. The design of the interior is very pleasing to the eye and you are a short bus ride from downtown Salzburg.
The mattress was a bit hard for me but I still slept well.
Beautifully decorated in a quiet location within a short walk to train or bus. Or you can walk to the river and follow it all the way into the old city. Family friendly.
