Excellent hotel, very friendly and helpful staff/owners. You can easily experience the aristocratic atmosphere of the hotel of past time. Very good Austrian food and service. The family Erharten and their staff are fantastic and friendly. The meals and the Austrian wines in their restaurant are delicious. There is no noice of environment or other rooms. They offer free hotel-shuttles to railway station / ski-resort. The hotel has a good accomodation for skidepot service (F.E. boots are warmed up). You stay in a beautifull villa with a history and a charming character and a warm soul. You have a beautifull and very large roomview on the valley and the mountains.

The owner-couple was so nice, and the hotel well taken care of. They have kept the old charm of it. The food was so good. Choise-meny at dinnertime, with Austrian food. Nice romantic settings of the tables.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Excelsior. A beautiful building with great location close to mountains and nature as well as the centre of the village. The hotel staff was very nice, friendly and service- minded, the food excellent and the general atmosphere very nice. We would be happy to return to this hotel.

No, nothing.

Our stay at Villa Excelsior was just great. The hotel stuff and owners always concerned about our well being and staying during the whole period. The view to the valley from the hotel is excellent. It's a combination between the mountains and having to stay in a 19-20th century hotel. Another positive part is that you can have breakfast and dinner at the villa.

Our stay at Villa Excelsior was excellent! Johanna and Christoff, the owners, was very friendly and serviceminded. The food was lovely and in total this was great value for money. We would certainly recommend this hotel!

It was the best trip of my life. I had chosen this hotel for its location which is perfect if you want to wake up to a view of cloudy beautiful mountains right on your bed and the sound of nothing but birds. The rooms are sound proof and the location is away from main roads. Free parking. The staff is amazing. Kristof and his wife (owners) make your stay very comfortable. A very family like environment. A very safe location and the best location to move around from. A very long hiking path starts right at the hotel (even leads to other cities) and town centre is 5 minute walk. The room was very clean and neat and washroom huge. 4 course meals at dinner and very good buffet breakfast. I couldnt have chosen a better hotel to stay my first time in Austria.

Nothing negative to report. Minor things that could be improved: a wider selection of eggs in breakfast. Availability of certain snacks after dinner since Bad Gastien closes at 6 :).

The athmosphere of the hotel was nicely old-fashioned.

Wunderschöne Villa direkt im Zentrum von Bad Gastein, an einem sonnigen Platz hoch oben am Hang, mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf die Stadt und die Berge. Viele Einkaufs- und Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten, Gasthäuser, Casino, Museum, Kirchen, Therme, Wasserfall in der Nähe. Das Haus selber hat eine tolle historische Atmosphäre und ist sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit wunderschönen alten Stilmöbeln, nostalgischer Dekoration und Silbergeschirr im Restaurant. Der Wellnessbereich ist auch liebevoll nostalgisch gestaltet, jedoch sehr klein – eine Sauna, eine Infrarotkabine, eine Dusche und nur zwei Liegen. Dafür wird der richtige Saunageher durch die hohe Temperatur in der Sauna und dem Ausgang auf eine Terrasse mit wunderschönen Panoramablick, entschädigt. Wir hatten ein großes, nostalgisches Doppelzimmer Superior mit einem Balkon und wunderschönem Ausblick. TV und Fön vorhanden, Minibar und Safe gibt es nicht. Das Bad/WC ist etwas klein, entspricht jedoch dem Standard. Bei Halbpension gibt es ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet und abends gab es zur Auswahl ein vegetarisches und ein österreichisches Hauptgericht, Suppe, Nachspeise und Salat vom Buffet. Qualität der Speisen, Geschmack, Bedienung und Sauberkeit waren sehr gut, der Service professionell und schnell, die Getränkepreise eher niedrig. Preis/Leistung sehr gut.

Sehr nettes Personal, ausgezeichnetes 3 Gänge Abendessen, man fühlt sich um 100 Jahre in der Zeit zurückversetzt. Shuttlebus zum Stubnerkogel. Kostenloser Parkplatz.

Podobała mi sie atmosfera, wystrój, gościnność nie z tej epoki. Pokój duży, umeblowany antycznymi meblami: sekretarzyk, komoda, stól I dwa fotele, wygodne spanie, parkiet I dywany, ogromna szafa w przedpokoju, duza łazienka z wanną I prysznicem. Dobra suszarka do włosów. Wi-fi bezpłatne, dostałam hasło I mogłam używać swój komputer w pokoju. Bardzo dobra kuchnia, śniadania obfite(jajka tylko w postaci jajecznicy, ale odplatnie mozna było zamowić inne dania z jaj). Bardzo elegancka oprawa posiłków, obrusy zawsze nieskazitelnie białe I wykrochmalone. Bogata oferta kąpieli termalnych na miejscu oraz duży wybór masaży. Sauna na 4 osoby z zimnym "wodospadem" I tarasem. Szlafroki dostaliśmy bezplatnie w recepcji, a ręczniki I koce były w szafie w pomieszczeniu sauny. Dla narciarzy, jest osobne pomieszczenie z suszarkami do butów oraz na zewnatrz domek na narty, tuż obok miejsca z ktorego bus zabiera narciarzy na główna stację narciarską. Stamtąd skibusem mozna sie przemiescić do innych stacji narciarskich. Stałe godziny kursowania hotelowego busa, ułatwiały komunikację z centrum miasteczka. Miasteczko przepiekne, choc sprawia wrazenie trochę opuszczonego przez wspólczesnych. Wiele zakątów miasteczka przypomina Wiedeń z czasow cesarskich, niestety niektóre budynki są opuszczone. Willa też pamieta te czasy :) Mimo, że hotel posiada dwie windy, na posiłki z przyjemnością schodziliśmy przepięknymi schodami. W Willi jest też salonik gier z barkiem czynnym w godzinach popołudniowych I wieczornych, oraz stylowa biblioteka usytułowana tuz przy wejściu do kaplicy na 2 pietrze.

Seara, masa era aranjata frumos iar felurile de mancare erau deosebite(gen MasterChef), chiar daca un pic neobisnuite(pentru noi) ca gust.Privelistea de pe balcon este exceptionala. Christof a fost o gazda minunata dar ce pacat ca a fost singurul.

Desi am avut in bagaje haine elegante pentru cina nu le-am purtat-desi atmosfera le impunea- pentru ca ceilalti veneau in tricou, papuci,trening si as fi facut nota discordanta.La cina nu gaseai apa de la robinet asa cum era dimineata si erai nevoit sa comanzi ceva de baut din meniu,contra cost, desigur.O apa minerala sau plata la 0.7 l costa 3.9 euro. Micul dejun a fost neschimbat(asta insemnand efectiv acelasi)tot sejurul,ouale erau doar omleta, daca le voiai preparate in alt fel trebuia sa platesti iar branza cu mucegai a fost tot timpul numai o bucata pe tava, indiferent de ora la care ne-am dus. Nu au existat crenvursti,carnati,sunca prajita,branza(decat cea cu mucegai de mai sus),masline.Cafeaua, ceaiul sau laptele cald trebuia sa le ceri de la bucatarie si ti le aduceau la masa. Curatenia in camere se facea supercifial:par in cabina de dus, par pe cearceaf,prosopul de pe jos din baie a fost schimbat dupa 4 zile, fata de masa patata(de catre noi, e drept) nu a fost schimbata pana am plecat iar lenjeria de pe pat nu a fost schimbata timp de 7 zile. Mobilier in camera vechi si uzat, prosoapele de asemenea. Caldura se oprea spre dimineata si se facea frig. Proprietarii aveau un caine de marime medie care circula liber si neinsotit prin hotel si care latra de cate ori il intalneam, motiv de spaima permanenta pentru mine. Johanna(patroana din cate stiu) si doamna mai in varsta care facea curatenie au fost neprietenoase. Internetul se plateste cu cate 10 euro/7 zile/ID. Depozitul de schiuri era situat afara si nu era incalzit.

Wir waren mit 2 Kindern in der 2 Januarwoche in der Villa Exelsior. Uns hat der Aufenhalt sehr gut gefallen, das Haus hat Stil, liegt abseits des Trubels mit einer fantastischen Aussicht auf Bad Gastein und das Tal. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Essen war super und die Bedienung immer nett und zuvorkommend. Was uns etwas gestört hatte, waren die vielen russischen Gäste, die aber leider zu dieser Zeit überall in Österreich sind. Der Transport zum Skilift war gut organisiert und angenehm. Wir haben uns dort sehr gut gefühlt und werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an die Familie Erharter für den schönen Urlaub.

Een uitstekende nette kamer met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Fantastische ontvangst door de eigenaren ( werd gehaald en gebracht van/naar station) en heerlijk eten. Zowel het ruime ontbijt-buffet als het avondeten, met elke dag keus tussen wel/niet vegetarisch. Geweldige prijs/kwaliteit verhouding!

Als alleen reizende zou ik het prettig hebben gevonden als er een soort Lounge zou zijn geweest, waar je kunt lezen en andere gasten ontmoeten. Dat was er helaas niet.
