Villa Excelsior Hotel & Kurhaus  

Very nice Hotel with a preserved old charming atmosphere very far from designed and styled hotels. The breakfast was excellent and the dinner very good. The staff was very nice and service minded. We would like to stay there again and can of cause recommend this Hotel to other.

The minibus from the ski lift did not operate according to the timetable. Some departures was unfortunately cancelled.

I was looked after incredibly well. The meals - included in the half board rate - were great, and the hotel had the feeling of a family-run guest house. Friendly, nice people who knew your name. Afternoon mineral spa baths - no problem. Drive me to the train station on my early-morning departure - no problem. The room, a single, was huge, and the sizable balcony, accessed by two french doors, had magnificent views of snow-capped mountains. To reach the walking trails into the mountains, I simply went out the front door and turned right. A wonderful stay and great value. I'll go back.

The hotel is furnished with old, almost antique, furniture, and unfortunately this extends to the beds. They could do with an upgrade. Mine was a bit rickety for someone 182cm tall and 90 kilos.

Hotel is situated far from skee centre,reil station(30 min by foot) Bat if you take a shattlebus,taxi or rent car it is not a problem.

Excellent hotel all the way. Very spacious rooms with balcony and great decorated rooms. The owner gives the feeling of home. The half board food was excellent.

We had a great stay for a full week to celebrate our 30th wedding day. The location is perfect, couldn't be better if you want to be close to the center of Bad Gastein and at the same time be close to nice walks. The hotel certainly lived up to its reputation. From the welcome to check out. The concierge desk with Christoff (actually the owner) is fantastic and service minded. The hotel is also sympathetically restored with a genuine historical atmosphere. Our room was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and had great feather pillows that you sink into. The breakfast and the dinner was (we had half board) good. Overall a great hotel. We will definitely return.

Romantic atmosphere, exquisite cuisine, great hospitality

The bathroom was a little bit small, but, in compensation, there were two bathrooms in the double room

The atmosphere was unique. The staff was friendly. To finnish travellers Sauna make the extra point.

Wunderschöne Stilvolle Villa mit schönen stilvollen Möbeln! Alles ist hier echt! Kein Plastik und Kunststoff! Das Essen wird noch "selber" gekocht! Hier wird kein Glutamat und Chemie eingesetzt. Dafür gibt es echtes Silber mit Historie! Der Service war unglaublich gut und kommt von Herzen.Ob Hausmeister, Chefköchin, Chef und Chefin oder "Zimmermadel". Ich war schon in vielen Hotels und auf Kreuzfahrten, aber dieses Haus muss man mal erlebt und genossen haben! Das nächste Mal werde ich deutlich länger bleiben! Direkt an der Promenade. Ein wunderschöner Blick vom Hotel aus! Danke!

Väldigt prisvärt, Fin frukost- buffe´och fantastisk 4 rätters Middag, serverad vid bordet, på lyxigt porslin och välputsat silver. Känns helt klart lyxigt. Rummen är omoderna, men på ett gammalmodigt charmigt sätt. Kunnig och hjälpsam personal. De kom och hämtade oss vid stationen, fast vi gick av en station för tidigt. Halvpension är väldigt prisvärt. Läget, en bit att gå till centrum och till badet. Enligt uppgift kommer de att ha buss I skytteltrafik under högsäsong.

Spesiell atmosfære

В отеле понравилось почти все, очень красивый интерьер, все выдержанно в едином стиле. Хозяин очень замечательный человек, складывалось впечатление, что он вобще не отдыхает, всегда был рад помочь. Кухня потрясающая, на 5!!!! Расположение относительно подъемника не очень удобное, но это компенсируется такси, которое входит в стоимость, утром и вечером отвозит тебя от двери до подъемника и обратно, очень удобно!!! Пару раз приходилось идти пешком, в ботинках и с лыжами, тяжеловато, но терпимо. Отдыхали с малышом, очень советую семьям с детьми.

Единственный недостаток: жили в номере панорама. Очень сильно скрипела ночью кровать, при любом движении.

очень приятный персонал, особенно управляющий, вкусные завтраки, не далеко от центра города и замечательный интерьер гостиницы.

номер был довольно старенький, в ванной-туалете отсутствовало кондиционирование, уборка номера заключалась только в заправке кровати
