The family-run Wachauerhof is one of the most beautiful hotels along the Danube. Spend relaxed days in the hotel’s pleasant atmosphere and enjoy the view of the beautiful blue Danube.

From our shaded garden and the veranda, you can enjoy a stunning view of the river. As a member of the "Donau-Rad-Hotels" Wachau, we are specialised on guests travelling by bicycle. Of course, the hotel also welcomes non-cyclists. The Wachauerhof is the ideal starting point to explore the Wachau and the Waldviertel region, with its largely untouched nature and its great number of cultural monuments.

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and extra beds

All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.

All children from 4 to 6 years are charged EUR 11.00 per night and person for extra beds.

All children from 7 to 12 years are charged EUR 18.00 per night and person for extra beds.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 22.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 3.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Area information

The Wachauerhof in Marbach on the Danube River is the ideal starting point for your trips to the Wachau and the Strudengau. Many castles, palaces and monasteries, including Melk Abbey and the Schallaburg, can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Vienna and the foothills of the Alps are just one hour away.

The menu in the restaurant was uninspiring. Between the hotel and the river, there is a busy road, which was really very annoying.

Quaint hotel on the Danube River, a few miles from the Melk Abbey. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, and the cooking excellent.

Lage direkt an der Bundesstrasse. Zu laut. Zimmer mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet, die muffig riechen. Zimmer nach hinten zwar leiser, aber mit schrecklichem Ausblick auf Bahnhof und Wellblechgarage. Das Bild im Internet täuscht über wahres Problem der Bundesstrasse hinweg.

Es gab nichts was uns gefallen koente

Wir ware um 13:40 angekommen und das Hotel war zu. Am ende wir musten durch die Garage ins Hotel um unsere Schlussel zu bekommen die in einem Umschlag in der Reseption waren. Wir hatten ein Zimmer fuer Raucher angekreuzt abar das Hotel hat keine Zimmer fuer Raucher.
