A lovely hotel in an old winery with a good restaurant. The owner is a wine enthusiast who used to produce his own wines and is happy to share his knowledge and expertise. Great breakfast buffet with a selection of interesting egg dishes each individually prepared
Nothin, I just wished I Could have stayed longer
Being in the middle of nature. Everything is so equilibrate. Perfect for a special holiday and wine lovers. I enjoyed the attention for details.
We are from U.K. and Hungary. When we arrived Mr Sonnleitner welcomed us, showed us around. The Penthouse suite was amazing. Like a fully equipped luxury flat!! We had free parking place, free and fast wifi. The breakfast was delicious, big selection, home made and of course freshly done! We had dinner too, which was perfectly made. Everything was perfect. The service was first class and the staff was excellent! Everybody has to try it and taste the wine of house. :) Thank You again for the perfect weekend!! Sofie
As four work colleagues, we stayed for four nights while attending a conference at the University in Krems. The warm efficient hospitality, the personal professional contact as well as the beautiful location offered a calming sanctuary..... we enjoyed delicious food and wine from Herr Sonnleitner's cellar, excellent breakfasts, as well as walks in the surrounding vineyards.... and wishing we had brought our bathing suits! Make sure Weinresidenz Sonnleitner is on your cycling, walking or driving holiday.
Just absolutely the best place to relax and get some R&R. Fresh air and very friendly people. Food is well prepared and very original. It was just what we needing after traveling 2 weeks in Europe. New construction with the restaurant primarily in the renovated old vineyard press area and cellar. Very original and super clean. If you are up to it, river boat day cruises are available along the Danube. Yes, the view is absolutely perfect.
Need a car or bike to get around. Not suited for wheelchairs.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Free bikes Gorgeous breakfast Great location Great choice of wines
WLAN only in a very close area around reception desk. None at all inside rooms. As most people today travel with mobile devices the LAN cable doesn't meet the requirements anymore.
This small hotel stands out among the hotels we visited during our bike trip along the Danube. Picturesquely situated, stylishly furnished, new and clean. Our bikes could be stored in the garage, there's a good restaurant, breakfast was above par, and staff is friendly and attentive. Warmly recommended as a stopping place.
Unlike what is stated on Booking.com, the individual rooms are not equipped with WiFi. WiFi is available in the public areas though, and it seems that the rooms have wired internet (but we were not able to practically confirm this, as our tablets and mobile phones could not be connected to the cable we found).
Great location in the middle of the wineyards, quite yet central for visiting the beautiful surronding areas as well as drop into Vienna. Friendy atmosphere, with home feeling driven by the owner and all the satff since arrival. Great dinner experience and relaxed nights.
This small Hotel is just perfect. The whole place is brand new, even the restaurant, which is inside a hundreds of year old building. The room was excellent and clean. the back yard is brand new and the pool is something to experience. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You see vineyards all over and in the is Kloster Goettweig. It is a short drive to the Danube and to Krems. We recommended this place already to many people and will come back again.
We enjoyed everything! The grounds, the room, the food. Make sure you enjoy eating the varied menu at the restaurant. We had schnitzel on our first night, although it was very good, we regretted it later because you can get that everywhere. The staff was all very attentive and friendly. We felt welcome and looked after.
All staff was providing a personal service, they went the extra mile to make everybody feel comfortable and they were extremely friendly. Truly an excellent customer experience and a big recommendation on our part!!
Tasty breakfast Nice view from the room Cozy atmosphere in the nicely designed wine/dining room
The place is gorgeous for any type of traveler with beautiful location, modern facilities, and above all - great staff. The personal and sincere care of the owner for his guests being it in the kitchen as the executive chef or in the very cozy wine cellar made our trip really special. Food and wines are excellent and besides in the contemporary restaurant they can be also enjoyed on a brand new outside terrace with a swimming-pool small lake and the breathtaking view of Göttweig Abbey. The place is ideal for visiting Krems, Dürnstein, Melk, and the whole Wachau wine region.
Everything was perfect without any negative experiences.
Family atmosphere Great breakfast High level of service
Room was lovely! Dinner was amazing!
Superb breakfast, great staff, pretty surroundings, owner is a real expert on and supporter of local wines and food.
I liked everything but It is helpful to have a car or bicycle to get around the area easily, as there are many things to enjoy.
The staff was very friendly; the food was excellent and the location among the vineyards quite pleasant.
The room and the bathroom were a bit small with no real separation between the two. The accoustic isolation was not sufficient to prevent hearing our neighbours'TV.
Very nice staff and overall facilities in the hotel. Everything was also very clean. Nothing to complain about the hotel itself
The location itself is not so good since trains to Krems are not so frequent and the last train back from Krems is around 8 pm.
Cute place, very friendly people, delicious food. Kerala Ayurveda dishes available
