Funicular railway, cable car to top of the mountain. Don't be put off by the fact hotel is in pedestrian area, the cr parks are really close, 5 mins walk.No problem. The zoo was a total waste of money, after going half way around and seeing only birds , we decided to give up and head back to the town.

Great location!!! In the middle of the Old Town. Short walking distance to major atractions of Innsbruck. The hotel has interesting Tirol-like interior. Breakfast was very nice. You need to take some steps up after you enter a building. With small kids it can be a problem, however my 3 yo and 4 yo were ok with them.

I loved the location- it is literally in the middle of what I consider everything and during Christmas-market season, you stepped out the door directly into a square full of festivities. Claus, the owner, had a great disposition. We were told at 940 am that we could not get breakfast- even a few items to take up to the room (breakfast according to the literature in the room and posted signs was supposed to be until 10 am.) Just a note for older patrons- the steps can be arduous. There is a lift toward the back, in the restaurant. Make sure you are aware of this- we were not.

Location.very good restaurant.comfortable bed Imformation from booking.com was inaccurate. We arrived at 15:45 on sunday afternoon to find the hotel shut and not open until 17:00.As we had been travelling for 16 hours we were not happy. At 17:00 we found someone putting things away in the celler who let us in and we went behind the reception desk to find where our room was ,got the key and did a do it yourself to get into our room.It is a very small hotel run by the family and they deserve a few hours off.,Booking.com should give accurate details about when the hotel is open- please for the sake of other guests get your imformation right

Very good location for walking old town and nearby modern shopping. Their restaurant provided the best meal we had in 32 days in 7 countries. Early morning garbage pickup in narrow pedestrian street below our room was very distrubing.

I like the fact that the location is very central to the Old Town and parts of the City Centre. We were disappointed with the following:- 1) I informed the hotel we were traveling with two senior citizens and do not wish to stay anywhere with stairs (regardless how many flights). The hotel did not respond and I assumed they understood. When we arrived, there was one flight of stairs leading up to the Reception. 2) The website states the car-park was "nearby". "Nearby" is subjective and I would recommend the hotel to explain the car-park is located across a couple of streets and if accompanied by large suitcases, it would be a HUGE issue wheeling/carrying those bags through traffic lights and pedestrian crossings! 3) The hotel should state that private cars are NOT allowed to pass through the hotel between 10.30am-6pm because we relied on the GPS for direction and when we were denied access, we scrambled around town trying to find the car-park and nearest exit!

Great location and "character" with very friendly staff. No lift from ground floor although with a building this age you wouldn't expect one. Note that lift was available from the rececption level (first floor) however. No parking available at the hotel (although once again you wouldn't expect it with a hotel of this age). Parking at a reduced rate at a nearby public parking station was provided but with 4 large bags getting to the hotel could be difficult for older people.

Excellently located hotel in the old city with history and character. The outstanding feature is the restaurant, also open to non-resients, which has a deservedly high reputation for creating classic Austrian dishes some with an added reative 'twist' from their talented chefs. A relaxing roof terrace make for perfect dining in Summer complementing the old wood panelled dining room looking onto the pedasrinized high street. Great hotel to stay in!

This a very nice hotel. The rooms where larger than most in which was a welcomed surprise. The food was excellent they hav a great chef. The only draw was that there is no elevator from the entrance to reception area so if a person is traveling with more than one bag or large bags it is an inconvenience.

The staff were very nice and the food was excellent. The decor was interesting and unusual. Our children enjoyed the historic location and decor more than the other more modern hotel buildings we stayed in. It was a little difficult to find as the central streets were pedestrian only. It was fine once we learned the rules about when you could drive down there and where to park. Perhaps they need to send an information sheet out for those with cars. It would have been easier if we were walking.

Excellent location in the heart of old town Innsbruck. Our room was huge and very modern with a separate toilet and sink/bath area. Lots of storage in the room as well as air conditioning. Good breakfast in a cheery room with a good selection of typical German/Austrian meats, cheeses, yogurts, and pastry. The hotel is very quiet. Automatic lighting in the hallways was strange. You were already into the dark hallway before the lights would turn on.

Centraly located in the Old Town, lovely old hotel that is well maintained. The resturant is one of the best in this area for dinner. There are no quest elevators so you have to haul your luggage up a very long flight of stairs to get to the reseption desk on the second floor. Of course when you check out you need to haul them back down these stairs and they are a little steep. Once at the desk there is an elevator to the rooms. This is a small distraction to what is otherwise a nice historic hotel.
