Hallstatt: The oldest salt mine in the world. You can visit there by bus
Skibusses are free to the Dachstein West (50 minutes) and Postalm (35 minutes) Ski resort twice a day.
The St. Wolfgang area is not one of the most famous resorts, but one of the best for beginners and intermediate skiers. The hotel gives a snow guarantee from Christmas till Easter.

Excellent location right in the centre of St Wolfgang but quiet. Lovely large room and very comfortable. This is a family run hotel and the owners are really nice and helpful. As above, this is a family run hotel so do not expect 24 hour reception. This was not a problem for us. |

The hotel is easily accessible, is located in the main square and that''s a huge advantage when traveling without a car (which was our case). The hotel seems recently renovated, it is furnished and decorated with good taste. The atmosphere is pleasant, the owners are friendly and speak well English. Our room was small but practical. A mini refrigerator would have been useful but we could manage without it too. The breakfast is the same each day but you have varied choices. Another plus - they offered us for free 2 bicycles so we did not have to bother to rent. |

Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent quality rooms, spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Central location. Hotel has own lakeside garden / sun bathing area 2 minutes walk away. Pets welcome! No parking near the hotel (5 minutes away). |

Comfortable bed; good central location in St Wolfgang We had a non-smoking room as requested, but it was located just above the bar/outside seating area where everyone went to smoke, so we had to close our window to keep the smoke out. We also had a leaky shower tray, but that seems fairly normal for Austria. |

Hotel was wonderful and service excellent. Did not want to leave! Just a suggestion to improve - The towels were small and a mixture of different old designs. They were ok but it was the only minor fault and could be improved just by newer co ordinated bigger towels. Otherwise absolutely perfect , brilliant. |

very nice location I had a room without a view. The breakfast is between 8-9.30 am. I was there in June, but it was very cold outside (12 C) and it was cold in the room too. |

I loved the round bed in the hotel superior room. the view was super, atmosphere great and friendly. very relaxing. the hotel cost €115 per night for the superior room and I would have expected certain standards for that, for example there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, during a weeks stay the room had no change of sheets, no gents trouser press, and other small extras you would have expected for the price. |

Das familiär geführte Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es liegt sehr günstig im Zentrum.. Umliegende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu erreichen. Das Frühstücks- u.Abendbuffet war sehr gut u. reichlich! |
