It was right near the train station and we were facing the street, but the walls and windows were so thick you couldn't hear a peep! It was the most quiet and comfortable stay I have ever had!!! There's nothing I could complain about!

Location was very convenient, as it was not too far from the center and very close to the railway station. I appreciated the availability of a parking lot for a very reasonable fee. The staff was polite and efficient, and helpful as well. Overall, considering comfort and facilities offered, a very good value for money. Considering that it's a 4 stars hotel, maybe some of the facilities (e.g. elevators, some parts of the bathrooms) were a bit rundown, or rather simply a bit old.

The hotel met every expectation of a clean ,comfortable 4 star hotel. The lobby was welcoming ,as was the reception staff. The rooms were spacious, and spotlessly clean. But it was the extra touches that really made our stay special. Chocolates on the pillow, punch and water in the foyer. All in all the experience was very positive. A small quibble, but not very negative, no shampoo.

Very clean hotel. Nice facilities. Bathroom large, bright. Staff very helpful and kind. There is a restaurant (not owned by hotel) inside the hotel that offers breakfast in the A.M. (12 euro per/person) but very worth it. Excellent, large breakfast with hot and cold items. Hotel staff assisted in setting up local tours and musical events. It was a bit more than five minutes to walk to the main areas (Mirabell Plaza, tour pick up spots). I highly recommend it.

Large, clean family room, in a good hotel, very close to the train station, and a twenty mins walk by the river to the centre. The hotel sign was just outside the room, so there was light in the room at night. Not being able to open the window due to the noise from the street. When the windows were closed though there was absolutely no noise.

There was only one reception staff, and when she was tending to other things or customers you'll have to wait a few minutes, but they are very friendly and helpful. We found diapers in the trashcan-must be from prev. Guests. This is not a 4 star hotel. It is a bed/breakfast, at least. The hotel is very dated, I mean that. The accessories from lights, lamps, tv, furniture looks like items from a flea market (not antiques, mind you). We stayed out very late, so we don't hang out in the room. My daughter thought she was in a retirement home. If you stay on the 1st floor, you hear the traffic.

The hotel was close to the train station as well as easy walking distance of the city sights and also by bus. A good basic room and good breakfast included. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and the staff very friendly. Pillows were not very good...need upgrading.

Quite nice hotel 15 min working distance from city center. We are a family with 2 young children, booked a 4 place room. The good thing is that the rooms has 2 bedrooms, a separate one for children with 2 sofa beds, 2 bathrooms. Parking available. One of sofas was nearly broken, small hall. Breakfast is quite poor for the money (12 euros per adult, 6 for children).

Hotel was within easy walking distance from the train station (5min.) and the Old Town (20min.). Breakfast was really good, good selection of bread and pastries, tee/coffee, fruit etc. Nice looking lounge with refreshments at the reception. There were also a water kettle and tee/coffee in the room, which was handy because we were travelling with a baby. Large, renovated bathroom. Our triple room was a bit small for three adults and a baby, but ok for just two nights.

I was shoked at arriving to the hotel- it exceeded all my expectations: room was huge, bathroom was enourmous, compliment 2 bottles of water, unlimited tea and coffee facilities, hand cream and body lotions, everything is so beautiful and stylish and cleaned, so nice saunas, bathrobs and slippers on request, helpful and pleasant stuff, close to the center, it was a real pleasure and relaxation to stay there and so hard to leave it for continuing the journey over one of the most beautiful countries of the europe. 100% recommend. Absolutely worths the price. Already recommended to all of my friends.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Other reviews I had read about it mentioned that it was quite a walk into the old town. It is true that it takes a few minutes to walk to the old town, however the walk allows you to see other areas of the city. The hotel is also close to the Mirabel Palace and Gardens. As everything in Salzburg City is easy to reach I'd have to say the location was perfect for us. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable, lovely breakfast buffet and a really exquisite smell in the hotel reception made by the beautiful advent candles decorating the area. There is a warm, welcoming feel to the place and it is nice and bright. The complimentary mulled wine and treats in reception were also a lovely touch.

Great location and good prices. It's close to the train station and about 15 min (walking) from the Old Town. The staff is friendly, rooms are big and there's free wifi in the rooms (though the signal was a bit low).

We really enjoyed the complimentary Gluhwein after a big day out in the snow! We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and helped us book into all the tours we needed. My only gripe was that breakfast was not included in the room price and that we had to pay extra. In my experience, this is quite unusual.

Achat was within an easy walking distance into town (approx. 10Mins). It was only a few minutes from the train station which is were we arrived from. Plenty of restaurants etc nearby if you don't want to go into the city. Hotel itself was nice. Buffet breakfast was lovely, had everything..cereals, fruit, cold meats, eggs, bacon etc etc. Didn't have much to do with the staff but on check-in and check-out they were all pleasant, and as we had the 'do not disturb' sign on our room for the entire stay (didn't feel the need to have our room tidied up) the still left us fresh towels at our door. Hotel has more of an older feel to it but was still clean and comfortable. Only thing I found was our floor had a strange smell to it. Kind of smelt like it needed to be aired out and freshened up. When we first went into our room I could smell it but after opening the window for 2- mins it was fine.
