Opened in November 2014, Motel One Wien-Staatsoper is just 165 ft from the Ringstraße boulevard and 325 ft from the State Opera.
Score from 28 reviews Wonderful
In a charming building from 1912, the Austria Trend Hotel Astoria Wien is in the center of Vienna, on the famous Kärtnerstraße shopping street. The elegant rooms are decorated with antique furniture.
Score from 1044 reviews Very good
Decorated in a blend of the Viennese Art Nouveau and Italian elegance, the Kärntnerhof is in a quiet location in central Vienna, only a 5-minute walk from Saint Stephen’s Cathedral.
Score from 1274 reviews Excellent
The Motel One is a modern hotel in Vienna’s Westbahnhof transport hub and shopping complex, a 10-minute subway ride from the center of the city.
Score from 4812 reviews Excellent
location good and abundant breakfast helpful staff
very very small bathroom facilities No A/C so summer would be a problem
Sevice is perfect, atmosphere is also exceptional
the rooms were not enough clean
The location of the hotel was unbelievable. It is close to every sightseeing place and even more close to the main shopping streets. The staff was helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn't want to spend hours for transportation.
Bathroom was too small but it doesn't affect your comfort that much.
The location is just excellent – in the very heart of Vienna, just a stone's throw to all major sights! The staff was so nice and helpful (special thanks to Andrea). Single rooms are quite small but very well furnished and equipped – it has everything one needs to feel comfy. Solid breakfast to my taste (except for tea, though as everywhere in Vienna…not a tea city as I was told in a restaurant). Very good WiFi signal. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend!
As I said, a single room (as well as bathroom) is quite small. The bed in room 54 was really short (though wide) which can be an obstacle for tall persons (I stand only 1.6 m.). But the room as well as the bed was really comfy. Squeaky floor (not a problem but a fact). Noise at 7 a.m. from delivery vans and construction works (though ear plugs were on the bedside for those who were very light sleepers). And a piece of advice for those who are unlucky to be tea drinkers in Vienna)) – make sure you have your own loose-leaf tea (or tea bags) – sorry to say, theirs is undrinkable.
good location - very nice staff clean and comfortable good breakfast with cheerful staff
single room very small
Situated very close to main shopping area ,close to some good bars and resturants ,breakfast good very good value for money for Vienna . A very traditional hotel ,with parking near by.
The airport taxi. I asked. Specifically about t he correct terminal 1 or3 and was still put off. At the wrong terminal and a ten Minuit walk with luggage. I reckon the taxi drive r could not read and rea d Austrian air for Aegean air .
Central location Characterful hotel Lovely breakfast
Bathroom quite small but adequate
The location is excellent. The staff was so nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel because it is close to all the touristic places in Vienna ,in addition to the excellent services and the nice staff.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent location with easy walking distance to Vienna historic sites.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very Good Breakfast. Great Location. About 6 restaurants within 200 metres. Excellent Internet. Small Hotel 22 Rooms has a family feel about it. Able to chat with other guests in breakfast room.
No Air Conditioning. Would be a problem in summer months. Had to sleep with window open in October 2014 (It was 21 C during day) which then allowed noise from street to filter through. It is a no vehicle street, but delivery Vans are allowed in from about 6:00 a.m. Small Rooms but OK for 2 people.
Location Appearance Staff Breakfast Exceptional touch to be welcomed with a glass of Sekt after travelling. These little touches along with cloth napkins, towels of decent quality do contribute.
Had to close the windows to sleep due to late night revellers and early morning deliveries, garbage collection etc. the room is a bit stuffy with the windows closed but the fan helps. When it comes time for a new bed frame get something with rounded corners. It's a small room and both of us cracked our shins on the corner of the bed.
The personnel are very knowledgeable and friendly, will go out of their way to help.
The breakfast is not what I'm used to in the hotels I use in Germany and Austria. They don't really have the space that most hotels have, hence the offering is somewhat limited.
The location of the hotel is excellent. We got very good advice from members of the staff who were always at hand to assist us. They also helped in making bookings and suggesting excursions, routes etc. thank you.
I would have liked to have a kettle to make tea or coffee in the room. And found the bathroom with our room particularly small.
location, cleanliness, olde world ambience, adequate room
noise at night AND early morning so very broken sleep breakfast room was too cramped for comfort no tea/coffee facilities in rooms
Only the location was nice. Everything else was a nightmare.
Just few selected examples: The hotel did not provide any parking place. The receptionist showed me a place where parking is possible, but in two hours he told me that he forgot to inform me that I can park there only till 5 a.m.!!! The hotel was not willing to provide a crib for our baby! The room was too small, shaby and uncomfortable. Bathroom was so small that any movement there was impossible.
The staff of this small family hotel could not have been more helpful friendly and efficient. It's position within short walking distance of the heart of the old, inner, city was wonderful. Ii is close to many places to eat and drink. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful.
The room was small but adequate for a short stay.
The location of this hotel was amazing. The staff, especially Andrea, were very friendly and helpful.Would definitely recommend.
Parking was expensive but that's Vienna.
Excellent position in the city, excellent breakfast, breakfast room tiny and cramped but as it is a small Hotel probably not a lot can be done, wifi also good, staff helpful with directions
Very cramped room, a single, equally tiny bathroom, towels need replacing, old and thin, bed sheet had holes,
The location is excellent and the staff are very, very helpful.
Charming staff, fabulous breakfasts, helpful information and all within five minutes walk of the cathedral and opera house. Fantastic.
Since this was a central hotel, there could be noise in the street outside, but there was double glazing and ear plugs were on the bedside for those who were very light sleepers. Central hotels cannot be peaceful so we felt everything had been done to help.
very clean rooms, good breakfast, very very very friendly staff !!!!!!!!!!. Perfect location
The staff is excellent, goes way beyond to assist and they are very friendly. The location couldn't be better.
I won't say I didn't like, but the Breakfast was not quite up to what I have been accustomed to in Europe. Just a slight negative, but not enough to prevent my staying there again. They only have so much space and there being only one attendant, it is difficult to keep up with a room full of guests.
Location Staff Breakfast staff
Street noise at night (window open) Squeaky floor
Travelled with our 3 teenagers, their first time in Vienna. All the sights/activities were at our doorstep, yet the location was intimate. Not perfectly quiet, but surprisingly quiet for it's proximity to "the action". We enjoyed the small, outdoor table area for breakfast and later in the day we could sit there and access the hotel wifi. Very conscientious staff!! They even hung on to our 5 travel bags after we checked out until 10pm the next night (night train), despite the fact that they took up 50% of the lobby space!
The rooms are tight, especially the room with the extra bed, but the bathrooms extraordinarily tiny. Nonetheless, toilet, sink, and shower are all provided.
