Staff were great. Location and balcony views just gorgeous. Very comfortable, spacious apartment. Secure off street parking. Pool and spa. Basically, we loved the place. No dislikes at all, but would like to have ceiling fans in the living area and bedrooms. A TV in the main bedroom would be a bonus.

181 Located just far enough away from the busy esplanade area too relax and enjoy the awesome weather and food Cairns has to offer. The apartments are large and spacious and met all our requirements. The owners were of great assistance with our daily activity's and knowledge of the area. We have no hesitation in returning. No Ceilings Fans at all

The room was beautiful, we had unit 2 and our own fish pond lagoon right outside our bedroom and lounge room. The pool was great. Very child friendly. It was a short stroll to the pub and some take away shops. We will be staying there again on our next trip to Cairns.

Location, facilities and value. Ideal for brief touring visit to Cairns with a car. Less suitable without car. Large rooms, full kitchen, sea views. Nothing

Very spacious apartment. Great if you plan to stay a few days especially with a family. The shower leaked all over the floor. I slipped over and sustained injuries. I informed them but didnt make a big deal about it but management didn't give a damn.

Location on the Esplanade allowed easy access to walking and exercise Construction site was adjoining and we were given a low floor without views.

IT was CLEAN. Very clean and we loved the king size bed. It was so comfy. The singles were also of 2 different softnesses so you could find something to suit anyone especially with a sore back. Definiatly reccommend. Maybe a long mat in the lobby so guests who have been to the pool wont slip.

Large, spacious apartment, nice views, very pleasant pool cleverly landscaped with fishpond, good location, friendly helpful staff. Our apartment was right opposite the contruction site for the hospital extension, which would bother many guests, but our kids loved watching the construction work. Noise was not a problem. Some kitchen equipment (e.g. frying pan) old and needs replacing.

181 was perfect for our needs. I do not like to stay in hotel rooms and in the centre of an area. We stayed for a week, the trip was part conference and leisure. The distance from the city centre was ideal with the walk back and forth along the Esplanade a nice distance to exercise and walk off a bit of the food and a good stroll to the Convention Centre. The owners were extremely helpful with ideas and the booking of attractions. Biggest plus a comfortable bed, great showers and clean.

The fact that the hotel manager Miss Jo McConaghy was really friendly and helpful despite me sending her emails over the weekends and she took effort to reply me all my questions promptly.. Apartment was really huge and spacious with absolute privacy and it only take mins to reach town and airport... Apt is very clean and shower amenities provided were sufficient and of good quality... I will definitely want to stay there again on my next visit.. The bedsheets reek of pungent smell of bleach which took me some time to get used to... Guess that explains the cleanliness...

The room was spacious and it had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The hosts were helpful and made us feel welcomed. The noise from the building site next door - hospital extension ( from 7.00am in the morning - couldn't sleep after this time - but that is really no fault of 181 Explanade )

The whole weekend was fantastic, the staff were friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we loved the fact that it was so lovely in the rooms with spectacular views for such a good price. We will be going back again. cannot really think of anything
