The staff

Staff were just fantastic, especially Donna and Heather. They were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We also loved the surprise that we were provided with bread, juice and milk for breakfast. Maybe that's the standard for the inns in the area, but we still found this very thoughtful. The decor of our room is also a plus point - very vintage, very chic!

Great location, lovely decor of the loft room and very friendly helpful staff.

It was wonderful, and the reception staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend to friends.

It had a good atmosphere, was well-located and very comfortable. We were pleased with the self-catering facilities, particularly the microwave, bottle-opener and breakfast supplies. We stayed in the 'Victorian Room' - other rooms may have had different facilities.

The only comment we would make is that the place could use better signage from the road, as we drove past it on our first approach.

The room was beautiful, customer service was fantastic and very affordable.

Private courtyard wasn't quite "private" as was advertised.

The Calico Suite was very suitable for my 3 children and they enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and the adjoining outdoor garden seats. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially liked the personal recommendations on where to eat and go, The Montrose playground was extremely useful and the food at Pig & Whistle Tavern was fantastic! The carpark was big and convenient too.

Would prefer hot breakfast at the B&B itself - it's so nice to have it outdoors.

Relaxed, quite, close to township and easy to get to. Old charm

The room we had was small, but everything was there waht we needed.

Stayed in Herb Garden suite. Excellent facility.

Everything was extremely attractive visually, both indoors and outdoors. The room was exceptionally clean and smelt clean. There was no musty odours or synthetic fragrances.

Pleasant owner and comfortable CLEAN unit very much appreciated.

If you had a small table that you could read the newspaper and have a coffee at.

Super friendly and helpful staff, beautifully appointed rooms, ideal location in the middle of the Dandenong Ranges.

This Place was so beautiful!! Tucked away in the mountains, I booked it on the internet, we were holidaying on a budget so this was the most expensive place we stayed but it was still affordable and worth every penny!! The staff were so so friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early after a long haul flight and giving us lots of friendly help, advice and directions to the cool stuff in the area. The room was gorgeous, and the bed so comfy! I was staying with a friend but will definately be bringing my boyfriend next time as it is a very romantic setting!! It was beautiful. Very close to attractions such as puffing billy, skyhigh, and the Yarra valley it made the perfect base for exploring the region. I can't wait to stay again!!

Staff very helpful with after hours arrival. Great recommendations provided for local food and drinks. Very comfortable and bright room, great facilities, off-road parking and excellent location. Looking forward to staying there again some time.

The room was beautifully set. Very warm and friendly. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is very close to amenities, the surroundings are beautiful and it has a lovely old-world charm. Our room was cosy, welcoming, and very attractive. Inclusions were very generous. Our host was most attentive and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We paid much more for a motel which did not have half the appeal, warmth or charm. I would like to have stayed longer.

The many room ornaments and the spa the room was very nice .

No problems checking in or out. Staff were friendly /helpful Room was nice / quiet and out of the way.

Driveway is a bit challenging

The location was superb. We stayed at the Loft in the Mill as a base to explore the area. The room was delightful with a lovely private garden courtyard. The room was styled to fit with the whole 'Mill' theme and was very comfortable. Small touches, like the lovely chocolates left for us just added to the enjoyment. The warm welcome we received on our arrival just carried on through our stay - bookings to wonderful restaurants and transport to and from so we didn't have to drive and could enjoy some of the areas excellent wine with our meal. We had been to the Formula 1 racing in Melbourne and added a few days relaxation in the Dandenongs as an afterthought. We are so glad that we did. A great few days!

Couldn't get channel 7 to watch the footy. Could hear noise from the room above.
