Comfort & Ideal for a mature couple seeking a pleasant place of solitude.
Our stay of 2 nights was far to short.
Loved the spa and view and upstairs bedrooms had great characteristic as 4 the rest it was beautiful .fresh air secluded and great breakfast provided.
Liked the layout of the accommodation but because it was in the main house felt we were invading the owners privacy. Felt very comfortable and liked the outlook. Overall really we did like it and the owners were nice and kept to themselves.
Hard to stop walking the outside gravel into the house when wet outside.
No very much
Silly water tank close to the room that was making a racket.
Cozy retreat very comfortable home away from home atmosphere could easily make it a regular place to get away for a few days
We where greeted with fantastic old school warm country hospitality, before entering a cabin that made us feel as if we'd fallen to a fairy tale. We came across it by chance just looking for somewhere to rest our heads after a long week with relatives and a longer drive home. We wish we could of stayed forever, we where astounded by such beauty and we will definitely be back.
I liked the friendliness of the host , Very homely accommodation,Home away from Home really
Friendly, comfortable and homely. Peaceful setting. Every need was thought of. Highly recommended.
Probably could do with less knick knacks around so there is more room for own personal items
In the sitting area, there was a facility cupboard with small fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery and glasses that was useful and smartly designed.
The fact it was 'in their house' and we could hear them in the kitchen and lounge room. That the bed slid us into the middle after a few minutes. That we felt like our 'parents' were there (even though we're in our 40's) and could hear every breath and conversation. That we tiptoed at the start to go to the bathroom. The couch was sinking and coming apart on the left hand side to look at. That we had to ring them to connect the complimentary wifi. Finally that the tv was in the bedroom and not sitting room - we could wheel it just around the corner to the sitting room but still felt strange. It was just very awkward! Especially as it was a gift and my sister booked it via the internet with pictures showing her the other 'independent' cabins from the lodge. But to top it off, when my sister called to discuss her disappointment, the manager screamed down the phone saying she had high blood pressure and if she wanted a better deal then she should have spent more money!!!!!
The fireplace and the décor.
The mattress and sofa were saggy in the middle.
Very comfortable and homely facilities. Plenty of food provided for breakfast. Nice quiet surroundings and handy to local villages.
Wi-fi was not available 24/7. It appeared to be turned off overnight and when the owners were absent - very frustrating. Shower was difficult to get the temperature right and occasionally went very hot or cold. The room was very well appointed and generally very clean - apart from the Venetian blinds in the toilet and bathroom which had a thick layer of dust on them.
We had a plesant stay in Timbertop Lodge. The lodge is clean and the the facilities is great. The environment is excellent where we came from city and seldom have a chance to stay in woods. So this is a great experience for my kids as well. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. They thoughtful to bring some toys for my children.
There is only one disadvantage staying here is that we do not have the rights to control the temperature of our rented room. The aircond and the heater is centralised and control by the owner. We are having problem with it because the weather we stayed that time is so cold and yet we are not able to control the heater.
Loacation near to Emerald Lake Park and Puffing Billy steam railway
No work-top for cooking with EG electric pan, so would need to use dining table on carpeted area.
For anyone wanting to get away for the most peaceful, tranquil and serene surroundings I would definitely recommend this gorgeous setting to friends and family. Thank you Janet and Robert, we loved being there!
Host were pleasant pretty location you can walk into national forest and very quiet. Room is large.
The lodge was the granny annex of the house with the connotations that go with it.
Very clean and soft sheets with a good location that has little noise
Expected to be in reclaimed timber and leaded glass building but found to be in half of someone else's house. Entrance to the suite huge problem as top step broke beneath me as I was walking down to collect stuff from car which caused multiple Bruises, Abrasions and twisted right foot that lead to being un-able to walk properly for a few days.
It was a very hot day and no air conditioning installed. I believe you need to put on your website when booking that the rooms we had were in the main residence - no ensuite - bathroom etc down the hallway. Noise from main residence filters through to the suite. Lack of attention to 'detail'.
Location, peace and quiet, very friendly and accommodating staff, cheap accommodation
The accommodation was not in the house as suggested in the photos but next door. The bed was squeaky. All a bit old fashioned and too many fussy items around such as teddy bears, doilies, fluffy things on the tables and bed etc. Not enough privacy as the owners lived on the other side of a wall that did not go all the way up to the roof so we could hear them talking, watching TV etc and we felt we had to whisper as they could hear us also.
Comfortable, clean & quiet. Nice provisions.
A beautifully peaceful place to stay.
it was such a cute place to stay. Will def go back one day soon
Room and bed excellent
Cooking facilities restrictive
Lovely location looking onto state forest
Put into the owners house in spare rooms they have remodelled to accommodate. Told they do not put 1 night stays in one of the lodges. So felt we were an inconvenience. Noise from their TV travelled. Need to specify this in ad as picture of lodge shown & I would not have booked if I had known
close to the venue we were attending in Emerald. Nice to have included basic breakfast.
It was very spacious accommodation.
There was minimal heating, relying on a wood burner to keep going through the night and only 1 bed had an electric blanket. Breakfast was very minimal - tinned fruit? for fruit and cereal that was little packs. More attempt could be made to add yoghurts, fresh fruit, crumpets etc. given it is a B&B !! In my opinion it was overpriced.
