The room was clean and serviceable . The laundry room was in the underground car park. The breakfast was quite basic in quality. the restaurant in the evening was over priced. Taxis did not know the hotel by the Abey Hotel name but as the Cambridge Hotel

The location is great! A short walk to trendy Crown street for dinner and drinks and also to George Street for shopping and a free CBD bus shuttle. One staff member was friendly while the rest were just ok. I knew more than one particular staff member about how to walk to Circular Quay and I'm from Canada! All staff should tell visitors about the free bus to and from the CBD and should know info to share about the area around the hotel.

The staff were awesome - very helpful and friendly. The accom was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Very very small thing - the toilet is on the 14th floor - although there is one on level 2 near the pool, but you naturally need a pass for this one.

The hotel was really nice, big room, friendly staff and 24 hr room service! The only thing that bothered my partner and I was the construction work that they were doing in the next room to us at 6am every morning. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay!

Position, staff, cleanliness Parking inaccessible with a sport car (unless you want to scratch the front spoiler), internet 5 dollars per hour (really?? are all the hotels like that when you get free WIFI at many public places?), air conditioning not working (but everything else does) unless you place the electronic key into its place. Not a problem if you write it somewhere but I had to ask the staff to come and fix it/show me hot to use it.

The room décor. Do not stay here if you are planning on getting any sleep. The rooms are situated around an indoor pool, which hours of operation are approximately 8.30am - 8.30pm. I was constantly woken up by drunken loud guests jumping the gate, doing bombs in the pool. I had to call reception numerous times from 1am- 3pm, to get them out. Everything echo's around this area. This is a poorly designed hotel. I'm sure they could afford a better gate for this area or security. When I had complained to the receptionist in the morning, she informed me that I had purchased the "hostel rooms". At $194 a night, I find this disgusting to even suggest. Firstly I have stayed in hostels quieter than this hotel, and if I wanted to stay at a hostel, I would be paying $30 a night, not $194. Incredibly deceiving to the way it was advertised on the site.

N/a There was numerous things that my friend and I did not like about this hotel. First being the swimming pool was right outside our hotel room which made it smell of chlorine and cause humidity. It was loud and noisy and we were woken up numerous times whilst we were there. We needed a uk adapter to charge our camera for the night so we called reception only to find out that they don't lend them you have to buy them which didn't impress either of us. The mattress was uncomfortable and the room needed curtains as the light from outside streamed in through the blinds that lit up the room so bright that we were unable to sleep so much so that we had to put towels up over the roller part of the blind so to cover the light. To top our trip off a male staff member from reception was so rude and unhelpful the last night of our stay that infuriated the both of us!!!!! I would never stay here again. We have stayed in many hotels all over the world and I have to say this is by far the worst of them all.

Good location, quiet, clean - the bed was good Its expensive for what it is - I am looking for something in the Surry Hills area to stay overnight for work - I am still looking. Its been done up but its somehow tacky, the revamp was half-hearted. I don't like a shower in a bath, its dangerous. The paint on the bathroom floor is chipping, as you would expect. The furniture looks cheap.

The hotel staff are not as friendly and helpful as what they claim on the review. Charge me aud $254 for a lousy pool side room. On top of there is 2 incidents of false alarm during my stay. It was a big mistake of my side on booking this hotel. I will never book this hotel again.
