Well appointed unit in a great location with friendly and helpful owners.

Good sized, clean room surrounded by well presented gardens. Quiet surrounds backing onto the water. Hosts were helpful and friendly.

Accommodation was very well appointed, spacious, spotlessly clean and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Personal bbq and outdoor setting provided with access to hosts' vegetable and herb garden. Secure access to lake. Hosts very welcoming and provided very useful information for our stay in Taranna and also for the remainder of our holiday in Tasmania. Would highly recommend Abs by the Bay to anyone visiting Tasmania, in particular, Port Arthur.

Hosts were very helpful, lending walking books etc. room had great extras- glad wrap etc- very helpful for a self contained room. Nice scenery for a cuppa by the water too. Thanks for a brief but nice stay.

Walls between units not soundproof.

Fridge, flyscreens, great shower, extra cushions on bed, alarm clock, Lipton Tea, placements of outdoor seating to get best morning and afternoon sun, TV. After staying in backpackers for couple of nights, it was luxury! Also the recommendations made for a terrific evening enjoying fish & chips at the Blowhole.

The room had everything we needed it was very clean, bright and user friendly.

The pillows were very old and worn out. the rooms need new pillows.

Fantastic homely accom very comfortable and loved the extra touches in the unit.

I simply loved the pleasant and friendly environment that the place had to offer. The close proximity of the nearby historical site also proved to be pretty handy.

The one thing i must be honest that disturbed me a wee bit was the closeness of the rooms and the ability to hear the noises from the adjoining unit.

It has a convenient location, and with wonderful seaview.Carpark and garden are very pretty. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel owner is very nice and helpful.

The positives are: great, friendly, helpful owners bent over backwards to help us! Suggestions for meals out! Magic unit, exceptional & 100% clean! The views, the water, fresh air, just everything about it all was the best. Also the nicest accommodation in 4 we stayed at through the week. Will be back there next year to stay longer. It was central to all venues, loved it.

Absolutely excellent value for money. High quality accommodations and service, and location to Port Arthur with easy access to a good pub/restaurant and tour departure point. Loved this place.

The staff were very friendly,knowledgable and helpful.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected. We had a few bags and we didn't want to leave them in the car. Access to a storage cupboard would be good. Our other accommodation was hotels and so we weren't travelling with shampoo/conditioner..had to go and buy some… A little further from Port Arthur than we expected…

clean, simple, convenient accomodation. Very helpful and supportive staff. Appreciated use of laundry facilities. In better weather would have enjoyed water access. Very convenient for sightseeing along the Tasman Peninsula
