Ease of booking, checking in and staff knowing who I was and greeting me accordingly. Great after a long days travel.
the view from the balcony the breakfast buffet
was a little out of the way, even though it was right by the water. Next time I'd stay further south. the desk staff were OK, but not very personable.
Housekeeping & fresh towels, restaurant in a hotel, room looking over the water and mountain
Difficult to find as I didn't see a sign or the name of the hotel on the street where my map was telling me it was. Seems the entrance was around the back.
The spacious room and big bathroom shelf. The large balcony and mountain views. The proximity to the esplanade for excellent walking.
Our booking had not been recorded by staff so a bit unnerving when trying to checkin. We also requested a late checkout which had not been recorded.
Large Bathroom with a walk-in shower. Excellent meals & Staff.
Older section of building overlooking Lake Street car park.
restaurant was excellent view was excellent
pool need cleaning
Wifi very slow Air conditioning not effective!!
First stay in Sea View room with balcony & Charley's Buffet Dinner excellent! Second stay in older section just as good with a large bathroom and walk-in shower safer for us. Buffet Breakfast excellent!
Shower INSIDE the bath in Sea View room with balcony is dangerous for us older people to climb in and out of.
Ocean View Room was nice Lovely Staff As usual value for money
For the second time in twelve months our booking was stuffed up and we werent put in where we asked to be
My husband and I stayed for 2 days Xmas and boxing days .The rooms are on the 8th floor with beautiful mountain views. It was peaceful and quiet which we enjoyed being mature couple. The room was clean, tidy and hotel items are properly equipped .The reception people are friendly, helpful and attentive to the guests.
What we didn't like was not enough tea bags such as the premium dilmah brand tea bags put into the room.We requested but none available of that brand and we were given a different brand which we didn't enjoy.Anyway, overall stay was satisfying ,enjoyable, good and we looked forward to staying in this hotel again .
Close to airport
Buffet hot breakfast was only ok but loads of variety with d cold items
Close to the airport
Hotel couldn t find my booking
it was in a good place
that the $99 rooms over looked the car park and it should say this when you book on line
Pretty much everything
The staff were very quick to remedy and correct an error that was made with a room meal order which was greatly appreciated might add was a very pleasant surprise -- room very clean good A/C very good value and good car park. Has made a great turn around from six months ago -- extremely pleased the Acacia Court of old is back in town.
Previous earlier stays were terrible -- rooms were musky and smelled of dust with very poor room decor and terrible room amenities -- service at reception was absolutely the pits with signs everywhere for everything which almost gave you the feeling of not being wanted --room rates were unjustified and certainly did not match the room or service when it was taken over. There was no justification for raising the room rates on takeover without doing any improvements to justify the action.
Friendly staff, rooms are good and the restaurant was good.
Guest laundry. Charging was more and the machines needs to be replaced.
My flight arrived early am and room was ready at 9 am. Great ocean view from my balcony. Hearty inexpensive breakfast. Particularly day staff are super friendly.
Get rid of those room ants please. They have stayed there for too long!!!
Closing door to bathroom
Great view Excellent parking Good breakfast Pool Felt at home
Bad reviews of Charlie's restaurant
It was close to the airport. The staff were helpful.
It wasn't walking distance to shops, wharf and restaurants.
We've stayed at Acacia Court twice before this last stay and were quite impressed, the rooms before were clean and airy, and beds were comfy, but a little too firm for husband.Views from all rooms are great especially the sea views. Food in the restaurant beautifully cooked and presented. Most of the staff were helpful and pleasant .
The guy on reception for our third and last visit needs a crash course in greeting guests on arrival. Dressed in his red flannelette shirt and bordering on rude, he put us in a sea-view room (which we had asked for) on a lower floor that we had asked for, and the room was very close to being shabby. The floor covering was some cheap vinyl timber looking stuff, not secured in a lot of places, bathroom had heaps of chipped tiles. We stayed two nights and the cleaners took a small pile of coins my husband had left on the table. Towels are clean but wafer thin, very disappointed this time, wont stay there again.
