The staff were very quick to remedy and correct an error that was made with a room meal order which was greatly appreciated might add was a very pleasant surprise -- room very clean good A/C very good value and good car park. Has made a great turn around from six months ago -- extremely pleased the Acacia Court of old is back in town.
Previous earlier stays were terrible -- rooms were musky and smelled of dust with very poor room decor and terrible room amenities -- service at reception was absolutely the pits with signs everywhere for everything which almost gave you the feeling of not being wanted --room rates were unjustified and certainly did not match the room or service when it was taken over. There was no justification for raising the room rates on takeover without doing any improvements to justify the action.
Friendly staff, rooms are good and the restaurant was good.
Guest laundry. Charging was more and the machines needs to be replaced.
My flight arrived early am and room was ready at 9 am. Great ocean view from my balcony. Hearty inexpensive breakfast. Particularly day staff are super friendly.
Get rid of those room ants please. They have stayed there for too long!!!
Closing door to bathroom
Great view Excellent parking Good breakfast Pool Felt at home
Bad reviews of Charlie's restaurant
It was close to the airport. The staff were helpful.
It wasn't walking distance to shops, wharf and restaurants.
We've stayed at Acacia Court twice before this last stay and were quite impressed, the rooms before were clean and airy, and beds were comfy, but a little too firm for husband.Views from all rooms are great especially the sea views. Food in the restaurant beautifully cooked and presented. Most of the staff were helpful and pleasant .
The guy on reception for our third and last visit needs a crash course in greeting guests on arrival. Dressed in his red flannelette shirt and bordering on rude, he put us in a sea-view room (which we had asked for) on a lower floor that we had asked for, and the room was very close to being shabby. The floor covering was some cheap vinyl timber looking stuff, not secured in a lot of places, bathroom had heaps of chipped tiles. We stayed two nights and the cleaners took a small pile of coins my husband had left on the table. Towels are clean but wafer thin, very disappointed this time, wont stay there again.
Our room was spotless and welcoming. We had to have meals in our room in the evening. Our meal steak with pepper sauce & salad was excellent, steak cooked to perfection.A slight mixup with breakfast saw us with one meal instead of two. On notifiying management we were offered complimentary breakfasts for two the next morning. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Happy to stay again.
Breakfast was only extra $10 great value
Rooms are a little old but still very clean. For price it is really good value
Been transfered to another room twice Coz both rooms light aren't working. Rooms must be check before the guest arrives to prevent inconvenience. Rooms smells dusty too.
All that we experienced
Hours permitted to swim in the pool. we acknowledge the pool is right by the dining area which gives great atmosphere for diners but lessens a lot of opportunity for a swim
Over all I will stay there again and let all my friends know how good it was
Nothing I was only there for 1 night every thing was just how it should be so thanks
Big room looking over sea Free wifi Nicely furnished Fridge Two chairs in room with small table Comfy bed Nice towels Beach towels to hire $1 each Nice breakfast, full English, fruit, cereals, yoghurt etc.
No safe but not big problem A little far from town but not too far to walk. Took about 25 mins to walk
Balcony and ocean view; rooms well cleaned regularly by nice staff; room spacious; reception friendly. Nice pool. Had lovely time though.
Serving areas including bar, restaurant and pool, facilities on a tight time frame not suitable for guests; pool closed after 6pm; bar closes at 20.30-21:00; harassed to finish breakfast; felt we were in the way and more of a hindrance; staff informed us they wanted to close early.
It was a great location to the airport across the road from the beach had a pool and a resturant and bottle shop on the property.
Bedding could do with a revamp little bit tired.
Food, service, cleanliness , friendliness. 10 out of 10 , great value
A bit hard to find when address is on the esplanade but name and entrance on back street, Internet kept dropping out,
regular clients of this hotel. First time stay in motel unit. Very stuffy smell. Could benefit from windows being left open during cleaning to get fresh air in and also some air freshner when windows closed otherwise room ok.
Buffet breakfast was excellent and was topped up with freshly cooked food right to close. Price, it was a special occasion so I would have spent more to get better quality, but wife preferred to save money as it was just a place to sleep.
Daughters room smelt of Glen 20, our room didn't, so we smelt the mildew. Having lived in the tropics, don't really believe the signs that say it is all due to external humidity and internal aircon and guests leaving balcony doors open. All fittings are old. Daughters said their mattress was fine, wife and I woke with curvature of the spine from ours.
The food was cooked well.
The menu was the same every day, no variation. For a Hotel we expected different choices.
excellent caring atmosphere created by all staff.
location to cairns - a good walk along the beach
View from balcony.
Location - a little far from central area and not many restaurants nearby
Location Affordability Staff at check-in & check-out Clean Good amenities, nice linen
Pillows - too hard, need a range of softness Parking - none available when returning after dinner (approx 8pm)
Good, comfortable, affordable, friendly n helpful staff
Was non smoking
