location was terrific, bathrooms reasonably clean and facilities basic. If a bed and bathroom is all that's required this is for you
Need to be patient with some reception staff, english is extremely difficult to understand.
Very nice and friendly reception staff members. Well equipped kitchen. Very good location. Appropriate value for money.
Bathroom could be a little bit cleaner, some renovation would be a good idea.
dining table access in room
noisy (people/traffic and garbage collection heard in middle of night thursday night - thin windows)
We really liked the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The size of the room was good and it had a shower and toilet in the room.
The carpet is filthy and stained. The room has an unpleasant odour. The pillows were ragged. A hallway light shines into the bedroom all night. The curtains do not cover the window so privacy is compromised. The curtains do no help block out the light from the hallway. The noise from nearby nightclubs on the weekend is shocking.
Location excellent. Easy walk to bus and tram.
Needed more bedclothes!
+ the fact that I had a room to myself, so I didn't have to fear the drunks and junks too much. + the location, I worked around the corner
- noisy - not clean - weird guests
Location was ok
It really isn't a motel, or a backpackers. There were people being taken there by police early in the morning. There was an old kettle, but that's it. Bathroom floor was slimy and the hot water ran out as soon as I stood under it.
Not a friendly staff. A goodbye and thank you for staying is too much asked.
Very cold, heater not working, very expensive for minimal comfort. Party noise at night from the street
Located in one of the most street in cbd. Really to go out.
Room is a former shop, so not really appropriate for a dorm. No locker in the room. Very old utilities.
Cheap & central but dont expect much else. Clean but old
Weird people live there. No reception limited kitchen times & facilities
Very good location considering the price. Clean and quiet .
Rooms arent heated so it was super cold. I slept in clothes plus blankets. Reception is hardly ever staffed you have to call a number on the door.
Freezing room. Loud renovations. No staff manning reception and when I called the number on the door I got yelled at by a ride man telling me it was his night off and to call the other much smaller number located somewhere on the door. Luckily I chain locked door as on my lat morning cleaner woke me up and tried to come in before 8am!!
the worst backpacker i ever did
In the heart of the city.
Second time I have stayed first time it was 46 degrees and the aircon didn't work and he wouldn't move us or give us a fan to use. Second time different room it's 6 degrees and no heater at all the blankets are thin as anything. Not happy pay the extra $20 and stay somewhere nice this place is a dump
Good location, we got to check in early.
Very poor conditions.
Homeless guy knocking on my door. Staff was rude.
Nothing spoon and knife.and one of staff is not good.
At this price, beds are all the same. What I was impressed with, was the quality of the five "roommates". All very nice, polite and great "stories". This motel must be doing something right, in order to attract such quality people, from all over the world.
Can't think of anything!
... I'm drawing a blank...
EVERYTHING! My stay here was hands-down the WORST time I've ever had in any kind of accommodation in the country! The room was absolutely filthy, there were stains on the towels and bed linen (some of them looked like it might have been blood), it looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in months! The shower had zero water pressure, I had to cup my hands and catch water to throw it over myself and there was never toilet paper. I was kept up all night from a light right outside my window and there was no curtain to close and it was too high up to put anything in front to block it off. Even if I could have blocked the light, there was constantly noise, including a small child running around screaming until midnight! I booked a private room but then had a knock on the door at around 1am because the manager had decided to put someone else in my room with me! Even when I tried to check-out, no one was in the office until 40 minutes AFTER check-out time! Myself and 2 other people had to line up outside waiting to get in and they were almost late for their flight because of it! Seriously, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! It might be one of the cheapest places in Adelaide, but there's a reason for that! If it means spending an extra $10-20 a night to stay somewhere else, it is definitely worth paying a little extra. I got no sleep at all in the 3 nights I stayed here.
staff very helpful
The staff there very kindly give me lots of advices about my trip.
Noisy at midnight
good location, kitchen is bland-new, staff is very kind,
Someone was screaming but it's not hostel's fault.
It is the cheapest hostel in Adelaide and quite well located.
Cheapest price attract a certain type of residents. I did not feel secure all the time.
It was a clean spartan room.
Overpriced for what was ($90 a /night for a shared bathroom and a single bed) but beggars don't get much choice.
