Grubby, dirty rooms and toilet. Thin blanket, no towels provided.
Bed was comfy, good location, had a fridge
Aircon didn't work, no ironing facilities as stated, no tv, no kettle, power point on other side of room
Room no fan & aircond. Too hot to stay and sleep in the room. Advance booking room no refund if decide to early check out date.
Nothing - maybe location
Poor staff. Unhelpful. Very dingy and shady. Dirty toilets.
Nothing at all
No clean bed sheet, was air conditioner but not working, heavy dust on sheet, asked to replace but delay to next day. Dirty bed and carpet
nil none of it...
I got told if I don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all.
Only the location
Fans are treating as luxeries and staff is downright rude about it. Do not be fooled by low prices. For another few dollars you can get much better.
There was no lock on the bathroom door and a window pane missing from the bathroom, which made me feel really unsafe. Also, it was a mixed dorm so anyone could walk in whilst you were taking a shower. I did not feel safe there at all. I was talking to a local about where I was staying and she told me not to walk that area after dark as it is not safe. I went back there immediately and checked out and found another, better, safer hostel in another part of town, with locks on the bathroom door and no broken windows. I've been travelling for a long time now and this is the only hostel I would not recommend.
there was a sign on the wall that if you book for more than 3 days 10 percent discount will be applied. However, they did not give it to me and when I noticed the sign and asked them for this 10 percent they refused.
meeting people from other parts of the world
Kitchen not up to standard, hardly any bowls, glasses, uncomfortable beds, very thin blankets. Hot water runs out very quickly
large room (doublebed) free unlimited wifi air condition
dark room (window to the dark courtyard) creepy people in the courtyard
Checking out...... The location was ok I suppose
Where to start... We booked a room last minute for an unplanned weekend trip to Adelaide. We had made it clear that we'd be arriving at 10pm and it wasn't mentioned that reception closes at 8pm. On arrival, the reception was closed with a few phone numbers on the window. Called and got a text back saying 'I'll be back in an hour or so, bit busy'... Wonderful customer service! When we eventually got to our 'room' well after midnight, we were greeted with a filthy, grimy, out dated bathroom with half the window missing.. A carpet that probably hasn't been cleaned since the 80's... Beds with a tiny fleece blanket and an excuse for a pillow... And to top it off a nightclub outside our window which made the whole room shake until about 5am. We had one key between 4 people, no hot water in our 'shower' and couldn't locate the towels that were allegedly supplied. Pretty sure some of the other guests were actually homeless too. Pay the extra $10-$20 a night to stay somewhere else
Cheep and comfortable
location was terrific, bathrooms reasonably clean and facilities basic. If a bed and bathroom is all that's required this is for you
Need to be patient with some reception staff, english is extremely difficult to understand.
Very nice and friendly reception staff members. Well equipped kitchen. Very good location. Appropriate value for money.
Bathroom could be a little bit cleaner, some renovation would be a good idea.
dining table access in room
noisy (people/traffic and garbage collection heard in middle of night thursday night - thin windows)
We really liked the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The size of the room was good and it had a shower and toilet in the room.
The carpet is filthy and stained. The room has an unpleasant odour. The pillows were ragged. A hallway light shines into the bedroom all night. The curtains do not cover the window so privacy is compromised. The curtains do no help block out the light from the hallway. The noise from nearby nightclubs on the weekend is shocking.
Location excellent. Easy walk to bus and tram.
Needed more bedclothes!
+ the fact that I had a room to myself, so I didn't have to fear the drunks and junks too much. + the location, I worked around the corner
- noisy - not clean - weird guests
Location was ok
It really isn't a motel, or a backpackers. There were people being taken there by police early in the morning. There was an old kettle, but that's it. Bathroom floor was slimy and the hot water ran out as soon as I stood under it.
Not a friendly staff. A goodbye and thank you for staying is too much asked.
Very cold, heater not working, very expensive for minimal comfort. Party noise at night from the street
Located in one of the most street in cbd. Really to go out.
Room is a former shop, so not really appropriate for a dorm. No locker in the room. Very old utilities.
