I stayed here half of the time solo and half of the time with a friend as a backpacker in the 14-bed room. Airlie Waterfront was a good place for us to stay as backpackers.. inexpensive, good location. Because we chose the cheapest room option, we actually did not have a bunk-bed layout, which I thought was unusual, but cool. Everyone got their own bed on the ground. Staff was helpful and did not mind booking what you need, gave us plenty of towels. It is more quiet at night because the "happening" places are down the next block of the main road, but a super easy walk away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The room we stayed in was a big triangular layout and the windows had no blinds so it does get quite bright in the morning. Other travelers were not very quiet in the morning if you wanted to sleep in (most people go on boat trips that leave quite early). The kitchen was the least stocked of any hostel kitchen I've ever seen. I think you have to put a deposit just to get stuff. Just found all of that a bit strange. Staff did not show us to our room, just kind of gave keys and let us figure it out.. which was OK but the place is confusing to get around so it would have been helpful if the staff would have just showed us.

We stayed in a double ensuite room. Fantastic location on the same street with the main shops & restaurants and the beach is across the road, friendly& helpful staff, clean & underground car parking. Enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Kitchen needs an update. The bed was a small double!

Great location as we were just in airlie for a one day jet boat tour the next day. Basic but clean double room with ensuite bathroom was just what we needed and close to town for shops and pickup the next day for the tour. Also thank you for allowing me to park my car uncover whilst on the day trip. Good little backpackers

Can't think of anything. All good

We both really enjoyed our stay here. From the moment of our arrival the staff were most welcoming. Absolutely nothing was a problem. They all made our stay in Airlie beach very comfortable and I would recommend it 100 percent to anybody considering staying here. Great job all round.

The 2 older ladies on reception were lovely and extremely helpful. They managed to get me on a last minutiae trip to the Whitsundays with quite a big discount. It was secure and clean

The younger ladies on reception were extremely rude and very unhelpful. When the shuttle bus didn't turn up, the response of 'it's not my fault was not in the least bit helpful' Also not being able to use any facilities once I had checked out was an inconvenience.

Easy access to rooms and open areas for wifi. Room with ensuite which was OK. Good restaurants within the complex. Very helpful staff. Easy storage of suitcases when away on a trip.

Bit of a walk from the bus station, but right on the front. Upstairs- so beware if you have large suitcases!

Locality to town, I had a sore knee so walking was difficult. The view towards the Coral Sea from the front is very relaxing, close to all facilities and a short stroll to the "Lagoon"

The room was too small, bed creaked, mattress ok. toilet had slight leak so kept filling with water, no glass/cup to use for drinks or mouth wash. paying $75 per night

    The location was good.

The Staff were extremely unhelpful and berated us for parking our car downstairs even after they guided us into the parking spot. They begrudgingly gave us information about facilities and accessibility after hours. Room was very basic and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned before we arrived

Room was Clean and tidy, beds were comfortable had TV and air-conditioning. Location was perfect, easy walk to the lagoon and right in town.

Wasn't enough access to power points or room for luggage. We were lucky that it was just the two of us in a quad room. Had there been four people may have been a little squishy. But nothing major. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!
