Alexandra Lodge  

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The accommodation was well liked by us. We were so pleased with what we saw that we will again stay at the lodge, when we visit our family in Bundaberg. We both loved staying there.

The price was good, close to the cbd & public transport. The place was clean & tidy. Breakfast was simple & self service. I only needed a bed as I was not there all day. I found this Lodge ideal for my needs in Bundaberg.

Received a phone call before check in for an eta, which was fine.. Tld the lady we were an hour or more away. Said she wld txt the code etc through which was fine.. When we arrived at least an hour and a half after the call no txt had came through so had no idea what to do.. Luckily the cleaner was there to help us as we rang all numbers avaible and no answer on any of them.. The cleaner finally got hold of someone and tld us our room number.. After tht we had to ask the cleaner bout the code to the main door.. After a while finally received a txt which was far too late. When we pulled back the blankets of the bed to go to bed I noticed hairs and black things on the sheets, clearly not changed from the last people who stayed!! This is not acceptable.. Luckily I noticed where the cleaner got clean sheets from so we changed the sheets ourselfs. If u are going to have plan white walls it wld be nice if they were cleaned also.. Brown splatters all over the walls behind the bed and in other places too.

Having a variety of food available for a quick breakfast before departing for the day was a bonus an a great service.

Room 3 - Dust around the vent in the ceiling directly above the bed. A couple of permanent clothes hangers would be a bonus.

It was a nice villa with most essentials there.

That you can't get the key at the actual villa, you have to drive/take a taxi somewhere else to get the key, which we wasn't informed about. Samething when returning the key. Staff that we dealt with at arrival was very snoty and not at all professional. No staff at counter when returning key at 8.30am in the morning. Very more information and service provided.

No luggage rack in one room. No full length mirrors Undersized bedside table and lamp Complicated access arrangement - keys to be picked up in another location - rediculous.

Great budget accomodation, wonderful to have hot water only a week after the 2013 floods. Close to town, breakfast ingredients and shared kitchen were great.

We were highly impressed by the kitchen facilities we were not expecting and we used the BBQ for steaks! We were impressed with the free wifi and it was very clean and comfortable. It had a great location right downtown Bundy We loved the make-your-own complimentary breakfast. Great overall experience!

Although it was nice to have the aircon ready and on for us when we arrived in our room, it was quite cold in the room below 20 degrees!

The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The accomodation modern and clean.

We had to go to the Alexandra Steak House, by car, to collect the instructions for the lodge. You discover that when you are in front of the lodge's door. We had to check out before 10am but at 9am the cleaning lady was lready asking us to leave as soon as possible and she was working amonst us while we where taking the breakfast. Speaking about breakfast, we had not enough food left in the common fridge, no mugs left, and no proper dishes available to try to cook some eggs because we had no bread left.

I am unsure of the name of your cleaner I think it is Ellen?? but she deserves a huge compliment the cleanliness of your lodge was 150% I would recommend this place to my friends just on that fact.

Great communal kitchen, room good size with all that we needed.

The walls are a bit thin so with a baby crying we felt a bit guilty about the noise for others.

The sun window thing, the windows beside the door that you can easily see through, and the door lock was dodgy.

Modern decor and cleanliness

"Including breakfast" failed to mention that you have to make it yourself.

I liked it all except I found the lounge very uncomfortable and the bedroom only had 1 bedside tabe. Everything else was perfect thankyou very much

Convenient site, modern, clean, good value for money

Was mistakenly charged for a service I did not use. However recompense was immediate so I will not hold it against them

Something needs to be done regarding the ants in the kitchen area.
