Alto Hotel On Bourke  

Very well refurbished building with a history and high level of energy efficiency. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location in the city centre, next to public transport hub. WiFi without surcharge.

Good location and friendly staff. Helpful and had practical advice on any enquiries we had. Rooms cosy and clean. Reasonable price for location. Definitely recommended for ease of transfers and getting about town. Just opposite skybus terminal makes it easy.

Convenient location. Straightforward check in. Lovely yet simpe facilities. Just what i needed without too much fuss. Particularly like the self serve coffee and book exchange in the lounge. Must try the massage chairs next time!

Our daughter had booked another room at the same time, hers was bigger and had a slightly better view, ours faced a wall and was very small, hotel needs refurbishment. We did not complain about the room as we were told they were full because of the tennis. We used the restaurant at the hotel and food was ok nothing special. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful, think poor management in giving poor quality rooms to people staying a few nights, as I know we spent a lot more than our daughter who moved on to a different hotel. Our daughter's room was the same price as ours.

Efficient, friendly staff. I emailed ahead to request early check in and all the paperwork was waiting for me on arrival. Wireless internet was a big advantage, and the room facilities couldn't be faulted. Extremely convenient location, too.

The staff - excellent customer service.

A cosy hotel that gives me a homely feel when I first stepped into the room. The rooms are clean, sleek and stylish. Staffs are also very warm and friendly to guests.

the fact i was upgraded and didn't know why...I thought it was fantastic that can do that for you just out of the blue....great work.

The Hotel was unique in its surroundings which gave it that something extra. It's emphasis on using renewable energy was was commendable and hopefully something for other hotel chains to consider but more importantly no adverse affect on us as customers. Would gladly stay there again.

Being away from home, the preferred media for communication is the Internet, a service which the hotel does provide but is limited and can be a little temperamental.

You'll like this place if you prefer small hotels with an individual character. Breakfasts are excellent. The Alto is particularly careful about how much energy it uses, so you can stay there with a clear conscience!

The standard rooms are a little bit smaller than in some hotels, but well appointed, so this is not a concern.
