Conveniently on North Terrace across from the medical precinct, Comfort Hotel Adelaide Riviera is a 5-minute walk from Adelaide Convention Centre and a 15-minute walk from central Adelaide.
Score from 483 reviews Good

Score from 675 reviews Excellent
Hotel Richmond is situated in the centre of Rundle Mall in Adelaide’s CBD, fashion and cafe precinct. It is an original, 1920s Art Deco building. There are bus and tram stops within close proximity.
Score from 244 reviews Very good
The lunch restaurant and the food and old fashion service. The Venue is absolutely fabulous. The position of this beautiful hotel is perfect for every newcomer to Adelaide. You can walk to everywhere or just a few steps away you've got the hop on hop off bus.
The old lift and lack of help getting my heavy case up stairs that I had to do before I could get into the lift. They need a short ramp.
A great location in the center of town.I arrived on a friday and had lunch in there restaurant. It was quite an enjoyable atmosphere and the staff offered good service.
Breakfast was very basic and food seemed to be in short supply. They were very short staffed in the mornings with just one person covering for reception, the breakfast room and the gameing room.
Location Bars within hotel
Lumpy, uncomfortable bed Noisy airconditioner
Location right in main drag easy access from J1 Airport bus and all transport Quaint area outside to relax Old double door lift Staff were great
Only being able to stay one night due to commitments at home
The position of the Hotel.
The clearing of bottles and cans from outside my window (or so it sounded) starting about 4.30 AM. No more sleep after listening for that for 2 hours. Doorstep bread for breakfast. No attempt to update condition of rooms incl.bathroom
beds are very big, obviously 2 singles together. shower pressure great and lots of hot water.
showers old and mouldy, air conditioner noisy. tv didnt always work.couldn't open bathroom window.
Location, staff, value for $$ and retro décor.
Basic accom but well priced for city hotel. Love the lift!!
This was ok for a one night lay over but considering value for money, I would not recommend staying there longer. The location was very convenient though.
This hotel is an absolute maze! Our room was on the 3rd floor which was kind of tricky to find. The lift (if you can call it that) only goes up until the 2nd floor. There are far too many doors, leading to unused "kitchens" or function rooms. Whilst finding our way we bumped into other "lost" guests. The quality if the room itself was poor - in decent need for refurbishment.
The clean sheets and bed. Friendly staff.
Poor condition of room and bathroom and paid $20 more for room plus breakfast than friends and breakfast was poor value.
Central location - it was value for money as budget accommodation in the CBD. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Lift - old style - used stairs. Very much in need of refurbishment but clean bathroom and bedding. Window covered over - could not open. Over side lane - lots of crashing type noises in the evening.
Really close to everything! Th staff we're really welcoming and nice.
Very noisy above the main road and lots of parties below
The shower never produced any hot water.
Location is excellent- free tram right outside the door, walking distance to all major city points of interest, shops and restaurants. Staff, particularly Tania, very friendly and helpful.
Very noisy with bottles being tossed for collection, bins being emptied etc. Hallways and rooms are not very soundproof at all so you hear conversations from the halls and the room next door. "King sized bed" was two singles pushed together.
It was in a convenient location to the shops and markets. It was value for money. The staff were very friendly. I had a function to attend at the town hall and it is straight across the road. It was a charming place to stay with antique furniture. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Too many stairs to go up with your luggage. Noisy from others staying there up late partying.
very handy to everything
ancient lift but it got us to our level. All the steps were good coming down but had to use lift to go up.
Beautiful character Staff helpful Central Opposite free tram station
Beware if hitting the bed early on the weekend - subwoofer in action. Possibly also depends which room you get as to how bad it is. Breakfast - only cereal and really thick toast. (Some fruit or hot food would have been awesome!)
It was a cosy place staff were excellent. That's why I would still recommend the place and the location very good.
All the Bathroom facilities need a basic upgrade. Looks very untidy and grubby. The lift also needs an upgrade. Does not have to be top of the line but better tiles and new shower curtains will be a start.
Very well priced accommodation, no bells and whistles, just a basic somewhere to lay your head. TV, bath (!), included brekkie and fab location
maze like corridors with lots of stairs may not suit everyone, dated decor and musty smell.. but you get what you pay for
Very old, fire trap, and needing multiple repairs to fixtures and fittings.
We chose this hotel due to location which was great.
The room was so noisy as backed only alley. Hotel is very old and a little creepy, I wouldn't stay here as a single female. Gamers from pokies were drinking in bfast room at 7am which was unsettling.
Central location Good meals Very comfortable beds Plenty of space to move around in room
No lift to 3rd floor No mirror in bathroom Fridge turned up too high - froze milk (couldn't find a thermostat!)
History of place In heart of city
Unfriendly staff Wifi connections & login Ran down facilities Dirty toilet facilities
The heritage building and close to shops etc.concenient location.
Staff in hallways early am could be more considerate and keep their voices down!
cost. location free wifi helpful staff
pretty grotty, cold shower wifi very flaky.
