The venue was lovely, perhaps a little further out than I thought, great staff
Comfy bed Clean Nice continental breakfast Port & chocolates
Room was smallish (No. 6)
Great location and a really comfortable and restful stay.
Staff (welcoming and helpful) Room cleanliness Quietness Spa bathroom Breakfast Free wifi
A bit far from the city center (where all tours/cruises depart) Nothing around (no grocery or nice restaurant nearby) Early check-out No reception in case of help needed
Easy check in procedure (key in special box) Nice staff Good continental breakfast (sourdough toast, individual pots of coffee, lots of cereals, etc) Good ironing facilities! Lovely traditional old home
My ground floor room would have benefitted from net curtains - during the day I felt a little exposed. It is not in the city centre, but that is also an advantage in some ways!
The hotel is situated in a very beautiful old building and matching furniture. The location is ok, but it is possible to park the car at another hotel of the company, which is closer to the city.
The choice for breakfast is limited and the quality is not overwhelming.
Convenient location, welcoming room, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
No criticism at all.
Very classy.our suite was comfortable and spotlessly clean.the staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.would certainly like to revisit this grand old house
Only minor point that our bathroom was a bit confined
Location was excellent, morning breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful. Grounds of the house were delightful.
Rather noisy hot water system. We were aware each morning of people next door having shower.
Friendly attentive staff. Excellent breakfast.
The house is grand old home. We had a large and pleasantly furnished room with a comfy bed, and although at the front of the house the double glazing blocked all traffic noise, so it was also quiet. A port before bed was nice. Breakfast was good and served at a large dining table where we had lively and very different conversations each day with whichever guests were staying - I liked that. There was plenty of parking.
The bedroom heater was a bit noisy but was only needed to take the chill off the room - not at night.
It was all we had hoped for. Well organized, secure, thought of everything. Great breakfast, great staff who cared for us well.
Stately atmosphere Excellent fellow travellers Cleanliness Happy staff
staff, ease of access ie pin to get in ...not having to deal with payment on site , just internet and phone made it all easy, not having to waste time checking out!! Great location and beautiful building. Being able to park and internet...
if I was being picky a slightly bigger bathroom would have been perfect but it was more than adequate ......also a mirror (preferably full length) in the bedroom would have been handy!
Great location, affordable price and the staff were very helpful.
Property is looking a little tired. breakfast provided did not live up to the description - it promised full continental breakfast including cold meat and cheeses - toast, cereal and fruit was only provided. toasters did not work.
Booking procedure and follow-up before arrival. Communal breakfast facility and quality of food Attention to special diet Double glazing on front windows Comfortable temperature inside
It would help to have bus timetable posted in room.
A nicely appointed heritage property. Loved the decor, strong wifi signal, friendly staff, good breakfast, usual art on the walls, location good for walking along the river.
We stayed in the garden suite for 4 nights. On two of the nights we were kept awake by a mystery humming noise. The staff tried to find it but it remained a mystery.
The Buffett breakfest The service Friendliness View from our room Fudge and port Spa bath Giant chess in beautiful garden Meeting other people at breakfest
That we had to leave
The breakfast was great, room so comfortable, treated like royalty. Good location, excellent in all respects.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Staff Breakfast Beautiful dining room
Colonial feel, good location on bus route with walking distance to Hobart centre, on beautiful bay. nice touches - a port to welcome guests, personal attention at tasty breakfast with good local knowledge. Can thoroughly recommend Prosser's restaurant 1 km further up the road, fab place.
wring seemed a bit dodgy - still in throes of up grade perhaps? Stairs a bit daunting if arrive late, alone and have to get suitcase upstairs. fortunately another guest helped me.
The room was quite
Having to let myself in and not being greeted
Loved the dining room/table; my room was very spacious; the service to collect the room key worked well; plenty of parking
The shower was a bit small and the bathroom was a bit tatty/tacky.
Cosy feel to the whole house warm .very quite we had. Back room overlooking the garden DVDs handy to use in room at no charge . Free use of the downstairs laundry
carrying suitcases up stairs parking a Little tight if the place is fully booked out .
Beautiful house. Felt like you were stepping back in time. Incredibly warm and inviting. Would definitely go back!
