The view of the city from the balcony. Large spa. Comfy bed. Great privacy with the private drive, entrance of city view cottage.
Bit run down. Maintenance needed on cottage. Need ceiling fan or something in bedroom as wasn't a warm night but got stuffy in bedroom.
Breakfast. Gardens and views. Spa. Quiet at night. Comfy bed.
Traffic noise during day. Not luxury. Small bedroom. Mould in shower. Spa floor tiles very slippery when wet. Many internal stairs.
We stayed overnight in the Garden Cottage. Annie Roes B&B was in a good location & was very peaceful. On arrival we were greeted by a young man. He was very welcoming & showed us through the accommodation. The cottage was small but one would expect this. It was very clean, had a large sized shower, the bed was comfortable & there was a good selection for breakfast. (Muffins, croissants, bread for toasting, orange juice & the usual tea & coffee.) It had every requirement for a peaceful, romantic getaway. Definitely would stay here again.
I like the owner, the situation and the tranquility.
The garden cottage needs a little bit of upgrade.
The cottage is cute. Spa is nicely located on top floor. Balcony offers pretty view of the city but it is broken by trees. Chris was pleasant and responded appropriately and kindly when we had to ask for things like the towels.
Chris was pleasant but did not introduce herself on arrival. We thought she was a painter letting us in at first. There was no blind on the toilet/bathroom window for privacy from the outside. We had to hang something there ourselves. The robes and extra blanket in the cupboard smelt sickening. We had to ask for towels for the spa. They had forgotten to put them in the room. The split system upstairs did not work. Chris said it is on their to do list. I looked for a tea towel in the morning to dry some glasses and found it ringing wet in the cupboard under the sink. It clearly had not been replaced after use from the previous guests. The carpark is not lit at night and there are no lights at the door of the cottage. So if you go out and come back when it is dark it is quite easy to trip in the dark. You need to turn outside lights on yourself when you go out ready for if you get back late. Sensor lights are badly needed.
Comfortable homey atmosphere Privacy the welcoming muffins! Balcony ipod charging stereo!
Lack of extra items in the kitchen E.g serviettes, sugar, sponge to wipe down bench and table. Cupboard long life milk! The frightening noise made from the spa (2 hrs after using it) woke us up in fright, too scared to fall asleep after that. The possum droppings we stepped in!
We loved the privacy and the comfort of the accommodation. It was beautifully presented and the views were wonderful.
Beautiful room and great location.
Ashtray was full which we didn't like as non smokers. We weren't served by staff and couldn't check out as no one was there. We only got a half a loaf of bread for breakfast and only half a roll of toilet paper.
Lovely views of the city and garden
Non-existent wifi and mobile phone service(optus). Management was not there on arrival.
Garden well kept neat and clean
There is a step or rather level difference near the reception bell. Falls hazard. Need to caution visitors perhaps have a colour tape.
Very cosy and clean Nice big spa Comfortable bed Good TV Beautiful view from the balcony Breakfast included tea, bread (there was a toaster and other cooking facilities), butter, jam, cereal, juice, milk and yoghourt. Plenty of food. We stayed in the penthouse suite, we don't drive and the owner was so nice he even offered us a lift somewhere after our stay !
Spa jets were slightly weak but it was still extremely relaxing The bed was squeaky but still very comfortable The TV signal wasn't the best but you can get DVDs from them apparently but we brought our own. I heard there was wifi but didn't find a password or anything about it in the book there but we could still use our own wifi most of the time. But I definitely reccomend this place, already have to a friend ! It's great for getting away from the city and people and such and just relax.
Middle of winter and it was as warm as toast. Location to shops and restaurants excellent.
If staying in the City Views apartment, parking is at the rear and not suitable for someone with mobility issues, lots of steps.
Accommodation cramped, no explanation of use of various items - some of which did not work (e.g. secondary heating system; bathroom sliding door had no floor guide, allowing it to swing inwards when being closed, then when fully closed, did not allow shower door to open). The term "luxury" applied to this facility is false.
Cottage was basic, dated small but clean & tidy. Not sure what the other accommodation was like but this room was not luxurious.
Lovely décor, very comfortable & cosy with a beautiful view.
I loved everything :) Love love love the place, can't wait to return !!!
Nothing !!! I loved everything
Garden Cottage was spotless and comfortable. Good sized shower. Excellent continental breakfast. We would definitely recommend to others!!
Instructions on effective and efficient use of the heating system would be good. Yellow painted lines in the 2 car park area - the other guest didn't know how to park allowing us adequate space on our second night.
Not having to deal with any staff. The privacy we had. The facilities, location, breakfast, decor.
I'm fairly sure the previous occupant was sick or something was spilt next to the bed and the floor was still wet when we arrived. I understand this wouldn't be a regular occurrence. Other than that, everything was perfect.
The location of the cottage was perfect, close to shops and restaurants. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We would not hesitate in staying there again. The owner of the property was lovely and hospitable.
The only negative aspect was not enough lighting at night in the front of the property. When leaving the property of an evening we had to watch our step and had difficulty reversing the car from the car space allocated to us, very tight squeeze, no lighting, therefore somewhat frustrating getting in and out of the property,
cottage was beautiful breakfast was lovely
bed neighbour next door who partied all night
Good location, penthouse got very nice view of colorful leaves(in Autumn)
Arrived to a warm, cosy and clean cottage. Absolutely loved it- wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Spa needs a bit of an update- the little jet covers kept floating up into the water.
Spa bath and the view's
The squeaky bed and poor lighting on the paths at night
We stayed at the Cityview Cottage (One bedroom cottage). Moderately priced. View was excellent, lovely gardens and a great little building. Olinda shops are within walking distance. Easy to keep the place warm in Autumn. Kitchen had good facilities. Spa bath was nice and big, shower water pressure was good, didn't have to wait long for hot water. Bed was comfy, although I used my own pillow. Very quiet and peaceful. Proprietor was warm and responded to emails quickly. I was happy with the breakfast basket.
The stove was difficult to use, poked into a corner and about 30 higher than the benchtop. There were ants in the kitchen on our first night (first night only - complimentary bug spray was available). Couldn't get the DVD player working. The crockery smelt a bit strange. Close enough to the road that you can hear the traffic. Wifi pretty weak.
Penthouse apartment, very cosy, very comfy, very nice
