Location is handy for business SE of the city
Its noisy and I didn't expect that but its in that part of the city that wears that label. Rooms are small. Good value but wont stay there again.
Loved the artwork and the ambience it created. Fantastic location near Prahran market, cafes and shops. Really comfy bed and great kitchen facilities. Will definitely stay here again and now keen to try the other Art Series Hotels.
The Cullen is conveniently located in the Chapel Street area and close to great eateries and nightlife. We ate at a fabulous Moroccan restaurant nearby. My room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Love this style of hotel - zany art work, great room with a super comfortable bed.
Having to pay for wifi.
The artwork obviously, location, the onsite restaurant was nice, the bed was super comfortable.
Definitively everything, The Cullen was the best of all accomodation facilities experienced, congratulations for the attention on all small details and the dedication of all staff.
Have to return home after 5 nights good things ending to soon . next time I will organize a long stay.
Beds location staff pillows quirkiness
Shops Cinema Sitting talking over coffee lots of places to choose from.
Great location and best beds ever.
I refuse to pay for Wifi - this should be included. The check in clerk didn't tell me at all about the AMEX surcharge. I had to query him and then decided to reverse the payment befofre then using my Visa card.
Excellent, location, cutting edge design and adorned with contemporary artworks....truly an inspiring experience. Service from staff is excellent too.
After hour room service for food is very limited and kitchen was not cleaned after getting used by the staff the next day.
Every thing is good
Bed really comfy!
Room generally quiet, but neighboring doors opening kept waking me up....?due to close proximity of laundry?
Everything. Staff, rooms, breakfast, location!!! Fabulous hotel.
Everything was fantastic.
Clean, nice vibe, reasonably quiet. Fantastic location, no need to trek to the city you'll be busy enough around here. So many great places to eat. The reception staff are super friendly and helpful.
Frosted glass shielding you from your true love in the bathroom isn't quite enough. Also the scent in the lobby is overpowering.
lovely comfortable beds well stocked kitchenette
frosted glass on bathrooms and no bathtub
Bed, bathroom and general facilities. Pleasant , helpful and friendly staff. Great location.
Dusty bedside desk tops and clock radio. Also no free wifi.
Art work, staff, proximity to trams, Chapel Street, price
the free upgrade to a room with a bath was much appreciated. the room was great loved it.
the pillows were to soft
I really liked the location and the friendliness of the staff.
Being charged for something I didn't have before being asked.
Awesome Room Great Value Room Service Amazing Staff
No complimentary WiFi - it's 2014.
The staff was AMAZING. The hotel was fantastic. The Cullen made my first time experience in Melbourne magical.
The art was amazing and the staff were extremely welcoming.
Pillows were too soft. I forgot to ask for harder ones before I hit the town.
The decor, the staff, the location. Everything was wonderful. The service in the bar was fabulous. We stayed for Happy Hour (4pm - 7pm) before dinner and couldn't have been more satisfied. Staff are happy to accommodate drinks, even if they're not on the menu. We didn't feel as though we had not left the hotel. Unlike other hotels, the mini bar was exceptionally reasonable.
Like most others have mentioned, the frosted glass in the bathroom is not ideal, but certainly would not deter me from coming back.
