Score from 124 reviews Wonderful
I liked the very friendly staff, the comfortable bed, the location - everything was 'perfect' - thank you for a wonderful stay - it was just so nice at the end of a day of 'seeing the sights' to return to the comfort of the hotel and greetings from friendly staff
Cool contemporary rooms, friendly staff.
You had to pay for Wifi. Judging by the booking.com photos we thought there woulkd be a hot tub but there wasnt one!
Exceptional staff, very Professional, polite with great friendly approach.
Location was fantastic, easy to get around everywhere from here.
A hotel of this standard should really have free wi-fi
Carpark entrance had problems. Gate didn't go up, sat ringing the buzzer for 5 mins before I was able to enter
decor location helpful staff comfy bed
nothing to tell
I stayed here with my partner for his birthday, and was impressed with the clean and luxurious rooms. We were upgraded on arrival to a larger room with an amazing view of chapel street by the lovely Alex at the front desk. There was no tackiness that you see at other hotels, and the art and designer furniture of each room were great. The bed was super comfortable as well.
Nice staff, comfortable bed
Terrible bathroom, shower flooded and nowhere to put anything
Struggling to think of anything. Comfy pillows & nice tea bags. No fancy coffee machine. Not even a plunger.
An average sized room is not a suite. The balcony (which we paid extra for) was uninviting & the kitchentte cramped with most available space taken up with mini bar items. The bathroom lacked a wow factor & didn't even have a bath. Ridiculously if you turn on the light in the bathroom in the middle of the night it also lights up the bedroom (via the glass wall). The carpet was poorly fitted, the chairs uncomfortable & the room not that clean, lobby unwelcoming. I could go on but you get the idea.
The beds are the best black ou curtains and was very quiet
Our room being on the west was very hot as the temperature was over 30 degrees and airconditioner was set at 19 degrees and could not be changed to make the room cooler.
Staff were able to accomodate most requests with ease.
Initial room allocated (even after booking well in advance) was not a deluxe room as booked. When raised with staff, it was insisted that it was deluxe room; whereas previous experience demonstrated otherwise. After complaining to management this was correct. This conversation should never have had to happen in the first place. Very disappointing and embarrassing, particularly when this was meant to be a special get away.
The bed amazing
The balcony very disappointed to what the photos looked like on line. The bathroom too small no where to put your toiletries etc no bench space at all
location, staff, close to shopping centre, laundry on the same floor, comfortable bed, kitchen facility, bright cheery surrounds
I cant really think of anything
Fabulous friendly reception staff in great location with creative decor.
Loved the artwork throughout the passages and our bedroom and assistance of the staff
We didn't use the kitchen or WiFi facilities so didn't rate these
The staff were helpful and friendly Location was right near some great restaurants and just a short walk from the train and tram
For the hype of this facility I expected so much more. Maybe I have too higher expectation but for the price I would have expected at the least a bath and not a bathroom that looked like it was copied from a public hospital design. When I am paying near on $450/ night, why on earth do I have to pay for WiFi on top. We did have breakfast included. This was however limited to either a cooked breakfast or fruit and muesli not both. If I wanted a second cup of coffee or a juice or fruit salad with my omelette this was going to be extra. The omelette on first day was very tasty and well cooked. I ordered it for 3 more days and I think they must have sacked the chef and picked up a cook from a locals shearers shed as it was awful. Day 5 I ordered Eggs Benedict, another camp cookout quality meal. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience. I'm sure the proprietor believes it is a great hotel, having stayed in any hotels, I must say it certain is not great nor value for money. I'm sure there is better value for money hotels close by.
Everything except paying for free Wi-Fi which this kind of rate
that I have to pay for Wi-Fi and that as a guest you have to pay for a bike
Pool facilities were great.
the bed was amazing
the room could have been cleaned better
THE BED WAS AMAZING. IT FELT LIKE I SLEPT ON A CLOUD
Resturant food was fantastic
The most I appreciated the bed - really comfortable, large and clean. Otherwise our experience was very mixted. Upon arrival the price of our stay plus 100 dollars were frosen in my accout for hotel security reasons which I did not like at all. And it was the only hotel during our 2 weeks trip in Australia. The rest is done for spinning money from clients. For example, internet connection in the room is charged 9 dollars per day or 3 per hour. The room service is charged 3 dollars even though the restautant is downstairs in the same building. The swimming pool is beautiful but as soon as there are no windows it is totally useless while cold outside.
The hotel is located very far from Melbourne city centre which makes is highly unpractical. The surroundings are neither charming, nor attractive.
Spacious and stylish room even though it was the lowest price. Staff were cheerful and efficient.
The restaurant was closed for an hour in the middle of the day. Seems unnecessary given that other places in the area remain open.
The access ability to trams ,trains and the proximity to restaurants, shopping and home design centre at Church St was fantastic!
The glass dividing wall between bedroom and bathroom was inadequate for privacy
