the opulence of the restaurant and foyer, and proximity to the mall.
i should have booked a queen size bed instead of a single. My mistake.
Aircon worked well The foyer walking in looks good. The staff at breakfast were very hospitable and friendly and the breakfast was very good.
We had a booking for two nights. The room was not inspiring, needs new bedding uncomfortable and the couch.I booked Sofa bed my daughter had to sleep on a couch. Sofa bed was a couch, not a bed. Just outside our room 513 in the corrador smelt like urine. And in the afternoon all you could smell was food that smelt like it was on its way to be off. Would not stay again for the price not worth it at all.
That it was walking distance to queen st and coffee shops & the park
That every time we wanted to get the car out someone had to be there to lower it down from the parking bay for us. We had to use the same plug for the kitchen sink, hand basin & bath !
Loved the location, close to public transport and the city
Could have been a little cleaner in the room
The spacious size of the room was fantastic! I loved there was enough room for me to study and that I could open the sliding doors onto the balcony for the beautiful evening breeze. I enjoyed the balcony each morning for breakfast. I loved that parking was onsite and only $10/day! I loved that the property was walking distance to everything I needed!
The neighbours next door were a bit loud at times as I think there were a couple of families/groups of friends on either side of me as it was the Riverfire weekend.
The room quality was amazing! Beautiful!
Persons came into our room! First people that entered using their swipe card was at 4.30pm. The next was a man at 1.30am also with his swipe card! Therefore will not be coming back. Could not sleep.
Location - close to Central station and city
Twin beds were terrible, cheap and small. Shower fittings were poor
Close to Central Station and Queens St Mall
Water pressure in shower very weak
Comfortable room with balcony. Easy walking distance to downtown and parks. Quite cheap onsite parking.
That it was the only room I could find at midnight after my flight was diverted back to Brisbane
Bedding was inadequate....one thin blanket...slept with bath towels on the bed to help stay warm...old and tired room.
24 hr reception
Comfortable stay but for one night only so unable to do detailed review
Nice staff, good location, laundry fasilities
Staff not helpful Room not clean
The room and furnishings were old or to basic for a hotel. Simple things like cups and glasses were insufficient and very cheap looking. The fridge looked like something I had when I went flat ting 25 yrs ago. I would recommend this place to my dog.
It is an easy 5 minute walk to the city centre, with lots of choices for dining and shopping
This trip the room had no remote for the TV and no hand towels or facecloths. Not a big deal but even when I asked at reception for these items they weren't able to supply them. Just found that disappointing.
Location was good close to city mall and shops.
The bed was not comfortable at all. Could not sleep properly. Needs a new mattress.. Whole floor smelt had to buy a room senter to sit in room.
I enjoyed my stay here. I have to say the chicken pizza I had was amazing!! I would come back just for the pizza! It was that good. Though, breakfast buffet was abit tasteless. The hash browns just didnt taste like hash browns. Maybe consider changing the brand? But besides that, everything was great!
The view and size of the room was great. Also very central location.
The staff were rude, slow and from what I saw, very poor at most aspects of their jobs. It was very frustrating and unpleasant to deal with every employee of the hotel we encountered.
State of the decor in the room was shabby and the room needed to be dusted. Damaged air conditioning control. Best Western needs to refurb the hotel and get some more staff.
The location and inroom facilities were excellent. Having a kitchen helped to keep meal costs down and, although didn't use the washing machine, that would be excellent if you're staying longer. Got an early check-in too (9am!) which, although requested but not confirmed, I really appreciated.
Unfortunately the pool was closed from dark on as the lights weren't working and therefore safety issues. Pity, as I was keen to have a dip after being out all day sightseeing.
Service was Brilliant .... Alistair on front desk and restaurant staff ... swift polite and helpful. .. Ganesh ... on both meal occasions ... evening and breakfast next morning ... These staff made the difference.
BREAKFAST -inadequate choice of fruit .... bread to toast ... juice choice of 2 .... eggs hard ... no current newspaper to read ... last week's news only on both papers available.
close to shopping and south bank walking distance.
We were very impressed with the reception presentation but it went down hill from there the parking is an elevator type if you have a large car it wont fit so you park in the street or a vacant block behind the hotel witch is unsecured our room was not 4 star standard the beds were hard and lumpy the air conditioning was very noisy the bath room had water damage and broken chip board to the bottom of the vanity we were told it had city views and our view was an ally some light fittings had no bulbs and parts hanging out of them the room was very dated, we are very disappointed and will not be staying there again .
just about everything
car parking for my work ute was a little awkward
