FRIENDLY HOST RELAXED ATMOSPHERE ECLECTIC BUT PLEASANT DECORATIONS COMFORTABLE GREAT BREAKFAST
NOTHING TO COMMENT ON
location, tranquillity, friendliness of staff
minibar in room too low & tea making facilities could have been on a little table - had to kneel on the floor to attend to things
Patricia is a welcoming and helpful host who is full of great information about the area, gives good directions and puts on a delicious breakfast. The menagerie of animals – which includes geese, a lovely horse, newborn lambs and fuzzy llamas – was a welcome bonus for a couple of city slickers.
The mattress and pillows were a bit too firm for my liking and there were traffic sounds from the main road nearby - although the sound of the animals masks it well :-)
A good 'feel at home' kind of place.
The decor is stylish - it is eclectic and artistic, cosy and comfortable. Patricia is very accommodating, affable and kind, made a homestyle breakfast which was delicious. She was a great hostess. We are definitely going back to stay there again.
Hospitality and cleanliness
Nothing was too much trouble. We had last minute changes for our group and the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. Thank you!!!!
The room decor was beautiful, the facilities within the room were great and the view from the room was lovely with ducks and geese wondering past. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep.
We booked a twin room however on arrival were told the twin room was just given away. As we were a mother and daughter travelling, the queen room we were offered was not going to suit. As the couple who had 'our' room had just gone out, we had to wait until they were asked to vacate the room before we could settle in. Therefore we had to leave until they returned after just spending the day travelling. After 2 hours, we had not heard and had to ring to see if the room was available and could then return.
Breakfast was fine. Atmosphere was friendly. Bed was comfortable All was clean and fresh. Very attractive setting.
DVD player refused to read the DVD we brought with us (which was new). No doubt that problem is impossible for management to anticipate and correct. Walls a bit thin: transmission of noise from other guests.
The fact that it was in woodend and it had the bed part right
Hands down the strangest place I've ever stayed, didn't know what the theme was...breakfast was terrible along with mouldy crumpets. Hostess seemed nice enough but very strange....bizzare place and not worth the $180 we forked out for the night. Wouldn't usually do these things but felt you needed to know what kind of place you are marketing.
The cleanliness & friendliness. Being in the countryside with animals. Wonderful breakfast.
As usual hotel & motel beds are very firm obviously so that the mattresses last longer but not good for our old backs.
The open easy friendliness of the staff; the very comfortable bed and good breakfast. It was a lovely , quiet retreat.
It needed more shelving or a table in the bathroom.
