The quiet, clean room polite owners And the fact for me there was a bus stop right outside as I don't drive and the location is on the town edges but with direct access to the city, the room was basic but had all that is necessary right down to wifi In it.
I was buying my own food so could have done with some larger utensils and perhaps being able to buy a meal in the evening, but that's a whole other ball game. The pool was not at all heated, or I believe chlorinated, so being Ballarat, the water was really too cold to make good use of the pool even in December and in 29 degrees Celsius. So it seems not used much at all.
dead blowfly in fridge freezer bedbugs substandard new work in shower electric jug didn't work ceiling tiles disintegrating
This motel provides a clean, comfortable, basic room. It includes a microwave, and has free wi-fi, that was not slow. As such it represents excellent value for money.
Had all kitchen requirements. Good location if willing to drive a little way, 1-2km from town centre. Quiet.
Outside appearance could do with sprucing up. Rooms much better from inside than from outside.
It smelled like someone had been smoking in the room
The bed was very comfortable so we slept well both nights. Room clean. Parking easy. Owners pleasant and helpful. Location was good for us. No road traffic noise as rooms were behind reception.
We paid for a budget room and expected a small room but found there was not really enough room for our big case on the floor under the bench. Tended to kick it as we walked past as the space between the bed and the bench was narrow. Wi-Fi was accessible first night, not the second. That was disappointing. Very narrow opening to shower - we measured it at 46cm. The space between basin and wall was narrow as well, meaning not a lot of room when drying oneself.
Clean, comfortable. Swimming pool
It was easy to find, clean and quiet.
I stayed in a twin room. It was a little crampt and squishy. It was an alright place to sleep, not really worth $100 (what I paid), more like 40-60
Squishy room. Also, no bowls :(
friendly helpful staff clean tidy rooms although older motel all was of great standard we enjoyed a comfortable 2 nights there while in Ballarat for a wedding
noise, our rooms were all booked together and only 2 were side by side, beds were very average to sleep on.
Availability, location, free Wifi.
Room got stuffy quickly in warm weather, but easily rectified with aircon.
Wonderful bed, arrived almost unable to walk after a long drive, crawled into this queen-sized bed, fell into a deep sleep and woke with no symptoms and fully refreshed! Great mattress and well presented room. Staff lovely and welcoming. Shower huge with strong jet of easy-to-control water.
Microwave oven kept in the bottom of wardrobe! Needed to LIFT it onto bench to use. A little difficult given my physical state and limitations. Could it be left on bench?
proprietor was excellent with help and service
shower recess difficult to get into
Extremely cheap for a Saturday night. And the hotel grounds seemed very quite
That you feel like your staying in a very cheap hotel. A little fixing up and the rooms would feel like a place you want to spend the night
Staff were very friendly and it was in a very quiet location. Would choose to stay there again if down that way.
Clean, quiet, kitchen facilities, TV, air conditioning
The paint was peeling of the ceiling, there were towels around the shower to prevent water spilling out into the rest of the room, poor painting finish on walls and door, bed kept rolling away from the wall
Wifi was free and there was no passcode.
There were tradesmen working using machinery in a room 2 doors down, who did stop work until 7.30pm at night. The woman on front desk did not make us aware of this and knew we had an infant with us. We found previous occupants clothing under the bed. The bed linen was old and stained and the room cramped. If we hadn't paid upfront and weren't exhausted from a long day we would of left.
The bed was old and sagging and the window did not lock
paint peeling on the ceiling. A paint scraper can sometimes come in very handy!
it was a ideal set up for a couple nights stay, with everything needed in room. wifi was free which is a bonus
the double bed in my room, was very worn out.
It was quiet and affordable
Location, as it was away from the city centre
Toilet dripping constantly, was annoying when you are trying to sleep. TV reception with yellow line through screen. no salt or pepper sachets. Shampoo and conditioner sachets inadequate, difficult to open.
Proximity to the CBD was great, a friendly environment and pleasant stay.
bit small and dated
