Room was adequate I arrived and 95 minutes later, despite an undertaking I'd have my room "very soon" (I'd booked on-line), I had to keep my business associates waiting as I didn't get into the room until an hour and 15 minutes later. This would not happen in any city I've stayed in overseas. |

The hotel is in a great, central location in Sydney. The hotel is well signposted and is very easy to get around. The staff were courteous and helpful and the checkin and out process is very quick and efficient. |

The proximity to theatres, shopping and Chinatown is a major plus for the hotel and after a busy night it was good to come back to a very comfortable bed. I was very disappointed with breakfast in the executive lounge. The selection of food was much less than in the breakfast restaurant, the service was appalling, the coffee dispenser too small and broken, the newspapers non existent and the whole area was understaffed. |

The room and the 'dream' beds were very comfortable. The French girl on the reception desk was excellent. She immediately put a service call in for a rattle in the airconditioning vent. The service in the restuarant was excellent. However, Rydges in general seem to have a problem with mould in bathrooms. Also a drink glass in my room was not cleaned - still had milk residue, and another had a very large crack. The air conditioning ducts also required cleaning. The food in the restaurant was mediocre, the steak was medium, when I ordered medium rare, and the next night the salmon steak was overcooked (tough). I recently stayed at the Rydges North Sydney hotel and it was definitely 4 star service and food. World Square would struggle to be a 3 star in the food area. |

Top marks on the restaurant deal of $25 per head and a bottomless wine or beer. Excellant value, attentive staff and great food. Such good value we ate in there for two nights of the three. Our room smelt really badly of smoke and I am sure that I requested a non smoking room. That spoilt it for us and would prevent us rebooking there I am sorry. Also all staff were excellant the girl who checked us out. She was very devoid of good customer service (seemed blunt, no eye contact, sullen and no smile). Not obilging at all when I requested a new printed and corrected charge for the overchargings on our account. She certainly needs further training in good customer service. I told her I would not argue with her and she sullenly obligied. Very dissapointing. Rafter in the restaurant derserves special mention - he was excellant just the opposite. Please give him a commendation from us. Any feedback to us would be welcommed. |

The proximity to everything in the city. No free parking for people staying at the hotel. You turn up with no warning that there is no parking in that area and have no choice but to hand your car over to them and pay $35 per day to park your car there. |

Staff very courteous. Responded to all requests quickly. We were all on a budget and found Rydges gave us a great value for our money. Central location gave easy access to many attractions. Carpet did not look clean, appeared stained. |
