Modest room cost, budget hotel. Pleasant staff.
Very basic, no elevator, old rambling building. If you want extra such as towel it will cost you
I liked the location being right in the heart of the city. Close to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building itself is old but well equipped. Bed was comfortable and warm.
Garbage trucks operating for about an hour in the early hours of the morning. If you are sleeping in the front rooms do not expect a pleasant sleep. The trucks make a lot of noise for a long time. I suggest you request a room towards the rear of the building. I would come again if I slept towards the rear of the building.
Great location, comfy bed, slept like a log. Very clean. Helpful staff
Bathroom ceiling could do with painting if I'm really fussy and would have been great to have a mirror in my room. I think most rooms did.
Its totally worth it, $30 per night as I choose a single bed in a dorm. The bed was comfort, quilt provided kept me warm for the whole night.
Wifi does not reach in my room. Since I've already have mobile data, I dont quite mind it. But I found it difficult If I dont have a mobile data. A wifi in a room would make this hotel the most excellent low budget hotel I ever been.
Location was great, friendly staff
No wifi on top floor, radiator dripped outside window nonstop making it hard to sleep. Floors creaked and walls were paper thin.
Most comfortable hostel bed I found in Australia -- very comfy mattress with crisp sheets and a cozy comforter. Friendly staff. Large, sunny, and well equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. Common areas are comfortable (though chilly in the winter) and kept very clean.
Wifi can be unreliable and is nearly unusable during peak times of day. Bathrooms are clean, but very institutional and smell strongly of bleach. Fees for access to laundry room seem excessive. Abundant signs warning of surcharges for various infractions (late check out, bringing guests into the hostel, sleeping in the wrong bed??) do nothing to create a welcoming environment.
Friendly staff Nice lounge Well located
Wifi very poor Some rooms have only one plug
Central city location, but not noisy. Very friendly staff Very clean Bathroom clean and hot water! Kitchen/dining area large and functional. Easy access to shops and toursit places.
Bit of a rabbit-warren Wooden floors in some rooms
The rooms were so homely & the hostel was very clean. I was there in the winter season so not many people were in my room none at all at first and after arriving from busy Melbourne I felt a lot of relief. I even got my bags carried to my room!
Room was a little cold but reception were only too happy to give a heater which warmed us up in no time!
Right in the city, good to look around.
nothing to say.
staff here were most helpful I have ever come across. they couldn't do enough to help. Great location too. clean rooms very comfortable beds. highly recommended
Easy access to CBD and easy to locate
