Location and choice of cuisine is what Baden Powell Hotel offers. This is a very good venue with the convenience of travel to the CBD of Melbourne.
Accommodation is upstairs so this may be inconvenient for ground dwellers.
Price good value Convenient for my needs Staff helpful I would stay again
Pub can be noisey I just used my ear plugs and slept like a log. You get what you pay for and I got what I expected. Like I said all things considered I would stay again.
I liked the price and what you got for your money. The location is good for me too!
I didn't like the fact that I had to call someone over and over to find out where my room key was. I didn't like having to wait for someone to answer the phone.
Locality, Price,Staff helpfulness and pleasant professional like manner. Clean and tidy.
Power hadn't been turned on in room prior to arrival. Locked myself outside when I went out back for a cigarette (neigbours alerted hotel staff for me). I hadn't known it was a one way door as my key fitted it. Noisy fridge motor, had to turn it off to get to sleep.
No parking available.
location, price and the pub downstairs.
We had an overnight stop-over and the location was close to our son's apartment in the centre of Collingwood. We opted for the shared bathroom and found it was fine for one night.
Comfy beds, great bar and food below, super staff, edp mikey
No wifi in room...
Price Location Cleanliness Friendliness
Parking (challenging but manageable) Can be noisy (it is on Victoria Street, but earplugs solve the problem)
Close to Tram Stop Cheap
Very Small Room
Check in and check out timings
Location and not expect more...
Proximity to everything
It is honest and consistently what it tries to be
Can't think of anything
Location to MCG
Toilet wasnt clean
It was near where I needed to be as my wife was in hospital.
Noisy, not very sound proof. Could hear when guest entered the hotel, walked up stairs, doors closing opening, pretty much everything. There is no one around to contact with loud guest and loud music playing at 2am. Would not stay here again. Dried crusty food over quilt cover. Not ideal
- Location - Spacious bathroom
- very dirty blankets - staff available only in the evening - very small room with no window - light bulb burnt out - noises during the night from the underlying pub
Location, comfortable bed and good ensuite, food downstairs was great.
location good and the meal was good
a small area to move in, plus a shelf with a very sharp metal piece causing a deep scratch twice to my husband's hip area. No hair dryer in room, and tea/coffee factilities were bad, having no milk or teaspoons
Location was perfect for our needs, very close to Smith St. Collingwood action.
Parking can be tricky but staff helpful with advice.
bed was comfy cleanliness was good after 12/1am was quiet but wouldn't expect to sleep well before that due to a pub downstairs.
no parking - really bad area for parking and having luggage to carry 2 blocks back and forth was not enjoyable. spa bath didn't work and for $150 a night in a king deluxe room I would have expected it to work or a reduced rate be offered. no water or milk in room for tea and coffee needed extra bin in room or bathroom
Very affordable and comfortable.
The patio restauranters were very noisy outside my window when I wanted to sleep.
