lovely high ceilings nice feel to the property and handy to town very quiet neighbourhood
Room 3 bed was hard and mattress needed replacing extra blanket very shabby and old. Shower flooded the bathroom floor as edge around same did not contain the water, stairs to upstairs or floor above transmitted movement people walking around.
The restaurant with the accommodation was a real bonus. The architecture of the building made it feel very special, and the renovation to a hotel has been done nicely.
Service was such a high standard, very rare to receive such service these days
The friendly atmosphere and the older style ambiance.
Nothing to dislike.
I booked 2 nights for my daughter for her wedding. She and her two bridesmaids stayed the night before the wedding. They happily organised a foldaway bed. They were in the beautiful room with a four posted bed and just the perfect place to prepare for the wedding. Photos great. They allow the photographer in to take ics. It was a special first night for the newly weds. The staff were wonderful. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend for a special plave to stay.
Everything was perfect!
The whole ambiance of the Manor is excellent. Furnishings, comfort and fine dining. The staff pleasant and helpful also. It is a great place to stay and I recommend it to all!
Nothing to dislike
The place is difference - it has lots of old world charm. Very good restaurant. Very quiet & relaxing
I'd maybe just add a couple more blends to the red wine list.
Staff were great - excellent customer service ie rang to check arrival time and to enquire whethere I was wanting to book in at restaurant. Excellent check in and made reference to my request for a ground floor room due to knee injury ( upgraded me from vayegory I had booked in order to accommodate tjis request which was appreciated)
The water overspill from shower - it was a wheelchair accessible shower area tho so I would think nothing can be done to resolve issue
Peace, decor, verandah, location.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent and, being on the premises, added to the comfort and convenience of the place. I would certainly recommend it as a very interesting, charming and comfortable place to stay.
There was nothing to dislike.
The manor was full of charm and steeped in history and very different from staying in other accommodation. We stayed in the loft room that had it's own private balcony with excellent views toward the river. We'd very much like to stay there again.
A lovely place to stay will go back
A very friendly and comfortable hotel.
Old World charm
All was fine
Reasonable place for one night's accomadation
breakfast too expensive for what it is. Most places like these are termed ' Bed and Breakfast' and therefor include breakfast
Beautiful, clean hotel full of character and style with very pleasant staff. Loved the veranda!
the staff were very warm and welcoming and rge surroundings were lovely plus the food was very good
Wi-fi only accessible in the corridor!
Beautiful decor. Helpful, friendly staff.
No lift, 42 stairs to our room. Thick heavy pillows. Hard bed. Blinds did not cover all windows so woke at first light.
Fabulous staff, excellent service, great breakfasts and perfect location !
Very nice museum-like interior. Don't miss the Seafood platter! There is a forced ventilation system in the rooms, so you have fresh air even with closed windows.
Facility was very clean and well maintained. Character of building added to the experience
Great place for a stopover when traveling from Sydney to Brisbane.
The Hotel had more of a family atmosphere, with staff treating you as a treasured friend rather than as a client. The Hotel is steeped in history, and has been restored to reflect a bygone age. The food is superb, and there is an extensive beverage list. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
I would have marked facilities as "Excellent" except for the free wifi, which was notoriously slow, and kept dropping out on my tablet computer.
it was an amazing historic building. Breakfast was great.
The first night we stayed in a room with a very noisy aircon, it sounded like a thousand crickets were in the room. We raised our concerns to the front desk and we we told they knew about it but it was nothing wrong with the aircon. They offered us a downgrade in room so needles to say we slept with the aircon off this night (not what you would expect for the price!). The next day we complained about the noise and they upgraded us to a better room "without the crickets" and it was a lot more pleasant.
